@Skua by default it was opening in chrome. But I fixed that. Thank you so much for the help
@michaelrw1 you're probably doing this already, but just to be sure: you're definitely saving the xml in your text program and then reloading the plane in the editor, right?
@Skua I've done all of your steps but I can't seem to modify my engine power max
@Skua thank you so much this helps a lot.
@michaelrw1 you only need xml editing for that, which is enormously easier and doesn't require downloading anything. Go to C:\Users[you]\AppData\LocalLow\Jundroo\SimplePlanes\AircraftDesigns, Note that AppData is a hidden folder, you may need to enable hidden items in the View tab at the top of File Explorer. To make your engines more powerful, find the file for the plane you want to edit, ctrl+f for "engine", and replace the value for "max" with a higher one. Props are slightly more complicated, but take a look and you should be able to figure it out
@Skua mainly make engines more powerful
@Skua both
The thing that is usually referred to as "modding" on here is editing your planes' xml files in a text editor. This isn't really modding, so to speak, just bypassing the restrictions of the editor. That's how people do things like more powerful engines, weirdly clipped parts, and really tiny fuselage sections.
You can also do actual modding, which is adding new content in to the game. Which one is it that you're looking for?
