F-22A Raptor V2.0
Obviously, the landing gear is placeholder.
The proof of concept I made from earlier spiraled into me finally remaking the F-22A Raptor. This time around, I wanted to give it a proper livery, flight model, and FCS.
The flight model and FCS have been really problematic, but it's in a decent spot right now. It flies similarly to the F-16C, but with much better low speed nose authority thanks to the thrust vectoring. And it's less twitchy overall.
Showing off high drag mode ("airbrakes").
The build is currently 362 parts, already more than my first Raptor posted to the site (318). It's still a little too early to estimate the final part count, but I can say that this will be on the higher end of part counts for my builds. I usually try not to exceed 500 parts, but this might go over that. I'll try to keep it down though.
I'm really happy with how the nose turned out. Super smooth compared to my previous attempt.
Here's a comparison of all the Raptors I've made in my time in SP. I don't think I need to tell you which is which.
Other Projects
The F-14B still needs other loadouts, but the aircraft itself is more or less done. The F/A-18F -Spare- with the EML is basically done and will be uploaded soon.
