Political or not, there are more Ukrainian craft on the website lately
Given that there is an individual tag for Russia, independently of the Soviet tag, shouldn't there also be a Ukraine tag?
I understand that maybe in the past there weren't too many planes that would use the tag, but now that there are more, how about adding a Ukraine tag?
Edit:
I'm suggesting this despite the fact that the tags are usually for which country made the aircraft because a lot of people (including me) use it as just general place of origin of the specific one we built.
no.2 - for those saying that most Ukrainian aircraft were produced in the USSR, well, the same stands for most Russian (post 1991-) aircraft, yet there is still a Russia tag
All countries @WNP78
@WNP78 Wait what
@WNP78 thx man I was waiting for this for a long time 🍻🎉
@JacksEpicGamingYT added Iran, Iraq, Norway, Denmark.
@SheriffHackdogMCPE added Philippines.
@WNP78 plz add Philippines tag, since there are plenty of replicas/fictional builds that are made in the Philippines
Ukraine tag has been added. If anyone wants another country to be added, feel free to ask.
@LonelyAustrianUhlan No reason to delete it since it serves as an explanation to anyone thinking the same, just tag it as solved.
@asteroidbook345 Yeah I mean that makes sense, should probably delete this sometime
@LonelyAustrianUhlan Yeah but we don't have a Kazakhstan tag. We don't have a Romania tag. There's no Nazi Germany tag, even though stuff made in Czechoslovakia at the time was then used by Germany (we don't have a Czech tag either). There are plenty of tags that could be added and aren't. Just because a war makes people realize Ukraine is a place doesn't mean you should add a tag for it. If we add a tag for Ukraine we should add a tag for other countries that have made way more stuff like Yugoslavia, Hungary, and Romania among others
@FeatherWing Yes I'm aware that It was established in Novosibirsk but soon after establishment it moved to Kyiv and for most if not basically all of its history in soviet times it was Ukrainian.
@asteroidbook345 I get that, but I was mostly talking about using the tag as a place of origin/service, and not place of manufacture indicator
as for made in the Soviet Union, well yes, but so are most "Russian" Aircraft.
Weather or not its enough for a tag and concerning other countries is not for me to decide, I simply suggested Ukraine because that was what came to mind for me and what I saw.
+I also just want to tag some of the things I made and will make with 'Ukraine' :)
@LonelyAustrianUhlan
Well, yeah, I know it's a Ukrainian company now, but go look at its history and about its foundation, you'll probably see what I mean.
@FeatherWing I said Antonov as an example of based in Ukraine, and well, it was a Ukrainian company given that it was based and that most people working were from the Ukrainian SSR, even in soviet times.
@LonelyAustrianUhlan
(Just for a fact, I think Antonov was originally, when it was founded, a Soviet company, not a Ukraine one.)
Also add more post soviet country tags like belarus or Kazakhstan
I would really like if every country had a tag, but server costs hindered it.
.
I would favor such a tag because Ukraine build some vehicles, including the now-destroyed Antonov An-225.
@asteroidbook345 eh
@IceCraftGaming oh well yeah but the Mriya was made in like 1986 or something so it was definitely Soviet at that point
@asteroidbook345 talking about the SP replicas 💀
@asteroidbook345 big sad
@IceCraftGaming the Mriya no longer exists oof
Most Ukrainian aircraft were made when the USSR was a thing or in Russia sooooooo… Some more recent Antonov aircraft are an exception, but I don’t think it’s enough to give them a tag. Romania made a lot and there’s no Romania tag
@SimpleTankers
like @DerekSP said, I don't think that it's political at its core, maybe the reason for more Ukrainian stuff on the website is political, but the argument itself isn't, and can be applied to most nationalities/nation, weather its producing aircraft(or anything else on the site for that matter) or fielding them, I specifically asked for Ukraine as a tag because I built and want to build some more Ukrainian stuff, and because in general there is more of it on the website lately.
@IICXLVIICDLXXXIIIDCXLVII antonov is ukrainian and was actively building aircraft in ukraine post-ussr
@SimpleTankers no its not
But this argument could me made for all nationalities, I don't like the inconsistency with tags, either all should have a specific tag or none
@MRM19 Yes.
