@IceCraftGaming Yea I figured it out with this https://www.simpleplanes.com/Forums/View/1652502/Output-current-Targeting-Mode-to-a-label-or-whatever-you-want
After 5 hours of looking for the output AirToAir on Google :/... Quite the Mandela lol.

@MobileBuilder21 actually I think I remember something like that too, but my old craft seem to not use it and instead uses "SelectedWeapon" instead since going to either modes automatically selects the weapon anyway, possibly giving you the same effect you're tryna achieve.

@IceCraftGaming Well is there a output for Targeting modes or am I experiencing a mendela effect here because I feel as though I saw a bomb bay open with a 'AirToGround' input.

@IceCraftGaming Do you know the output for Atack mode (Air To Air, or Ground) (in game)?
I've been looking all over and can't find it and I can't remember it lol.

@IICXLVIICDLXXXIIIDCXLVII Awesome! I've been trying to do it once when I was newer to the game.

@IceCraftGaming Yes, just add "function" in overload and set it to either "AirToAir" (air-only) or "MultiRole" (works for both A2A and A2G).

@IICXLVIICDLXXXIIIDCXLVII alright. thank you for your help! I don't think what I'm trying to do will work so I will just set the function to cycle targeting mode.

@Hypn0 Set the button input to "Cycle Targeting Mode" on it's part settings.

If you mean change the function of a specific weapon on the fly, I think that's impossible, you could just set the function to "MultiRole" though.

@IICXLVIICDLXXXIIIDCXLVII Yeah, Im trying to make a button in my cockpit that sets the targeting mode. Like, I press this button and it sets my weapon type to air-to-ground/air-to-air. also, you were the guy who helped me out yesterday lol.

If you mean you want a weapon to be used for ground targets, just add "function" in overload and set it to "AirToGround" or "MultiRole".
