Ight so. I have kinda returned to the game because I am back to being homeschooled, thus, I have more time for it. I don't like to do "Updates" because nobody asked and yall probably dont know me, but hopefully things will be going good soon.

I have a (Almost) finished A-7 Corsair II. I haven't posted it because its not quite perfect. I think I want to work on the cockpit a bit more, I want to finalize fuselage details, flying characteristics ETC.
I have been struggling with a little demotivation recently because my projects have this sort of style that I don't really like. I don't know why, but they just don't look quite right. even though I follow the blueprints using the built in designer suite thingy.
I have a really nice F16C that is almost finished. I am happy with the cockpit, flying characteristics, and general shape. all that is left is details. It just doesn't feel mine. even though I put a ton of effort into it I ended up using someone else's fuselage. I spent an upwards of 9 hours on the cockpit alone. Then another 2 tuning the flight characteristics, and another hour testing and modifying the fuselage and paint job. I removed hundreds of parts from the base fuselage from the old paint job. the plane isn't even recognizable from it's original state. but it still doesn't feel right- btw, Yes I do plan on crediting the owner of the original plane that was made 6 years ago.
does anyone else have a noticeable style that just isn't quite right? I know AdlerSteiner used to build his planes too skinny and has a specific way of doing paint jobs- but other than that I cant think of anything. any tips on how to combat having a style?
I somewhat doubt anyone cares enough to read this but yeah, there are my thoughts. just written down for the sake of organization. if anyone has any input lmk.

@ReinMcDeer alright. Ill post a teaser soon
Well, one thing that can drastically change the look of a build is the paint. Not just the color, but also the smoothness and... metallic-ness?
For example, I recall that one person's style in particular was to use 100% Metallic and 0% smoothness on everything except the canopy, which gave the build a very clean, though matte, look. I personally am going with overall 100% metallic and 50% smoothness on my current build, since it gives it a nice reflective surface while not being mirrorlike. I'd definitely recommend messing around with those sliders if you haven't already.
