The Air Corps is requesting for an advanced monoplane bomber prototype that should enter service at fiscal year 1931-1932.
The competitors for the aircraft competition should prepare a drawing, specifications and a tunnel model that should be submitted before March 16, 1931.

Design bureaus are being assigned to build a monoplane bomber and attack bomber using respective engines.
The Wright IV-1560, Curtiss V-1570, Pratt and Whitney R-1340, Wright Cyclone and Wright T-3 Tornado are the engines prescribed to be used.
The R-1535 and a German engine under development are included under engine choices.
