The F-5 is an American cold war fighter jet capable of Mach 1+ speeds.

Not the final model

It was capable of carrying a range of weaponry including the infamous Aim-9 sidewinder. It could also carry an undermounted 30mm cannon and AGM-65 air to ground missiles.
