:( I begin a work on a plane based on idea of variabile air intakes. The mobile air intakes must feed the afterburners, and stay retracted when AB is off reducing the drag.
To test them, i placed a blocked engine on rear of the fuselage, and tested it.
With the air intake retracted, obviously I receive the advice that there is no eought air, and the engine does not work.
front view closed
rear view engine does not work
But... sadly, extracting the air intake, the engine does not start to work.
front view extracted
rear view engine STILL NOT work
Is there a way to fix it, or maybe I can hope in a developer fix?
Nothing to do, if air intaked is connected with a rotator, no way it can feed an engine. :(
@A5mod3us I have had that same problem with my thrust vectoring plane. It is REALLY annoying
@A5mod3us Humm... so I can do another try... mumble mumble
@Baldovino I think it has more to do with the attachment point of the intakes. For some reason, if your engine and intakes are separated by a rotator, the engine won't get any air from the intake.
It seem that SP can calculate the air intake once at loading, then never.
