Question;
How will the SP community like/dislike builds consisting of only/purely of highly detailed instrument panels?
Summary//Basic Idea
Some of my builds/posts could consist of just an instrument panel(s), would that be worth my time?
Take this instrument panel of a B-17 for example
If i posted a build consisting of just this panel and many gauges and buttons/switches(for more modern aircraft’s instrument panels), take in mind that there would be no b-17,* no functionality, practicality, completely just for looks or other users to build off of,* would this get more positive feedback from the community then it would get negative/ignored
Extra details
Instrument panels would be fully complete. Due to lack of an actual aircraft, i would take the time to detail them very carefully. this could include high amounts of fully custom gauges and indicators, most likely using coded labels.
@ollielebananiaCFSP when i say non functional, i more mean that the build obviously wouldnt do much but gauges itself will still actually work
I don't really see why people would like a highly detailed but not functionnal instrument panel.
But I'm not the "people" so I'm pretty sure some guys will be happy about that.
But why not making it functionnal, if you want to make so much time and effort to make it look good and realistic, why not making it functionnal.
@PlaneFlightX the panels would be as functional as i could get them. Some things are impossible to do but i will give as much functionality to each gauge and instrument as possible
@jamesPLANESii this is true, ive done some thinking around this and i could easily just make some parts with .1/.01 scale
I dunno, there's a lot of gauges and systems that require parts of the aircraft to actually be there, so this may be quite difficult. But this is an interesting idea!
This sounds like a great idea. Would they be fully functional or semi-functional? (that comment looks like one of those bot comments lol)
