While working on one of my newer planes I discovered a glitch that allows you to use one piece of glass to see through a second opaque piece of glass.
Basic instructions to replicate:
- Make a piece of hollow glass fuselage, set the Opaque slider to 100
- Place a piece of glass fuselage inside of the hollow piece
- You now should be able to see through the opaque glass using the non-opaque glass
For example:

As shown here this can be used to create realistic HUDs that only appear through a display:

Another bug showing how glass can be used to make labels go invisible:

I’m not sure this actually needs to be fixed, seeing as it has a variety of uses from realistic HUD, to things like 1 way mirrors, but I figured it would be worth bringing to everybody's attention.
Yeah @Dragoranos
In fact this can have interesting applications.
We can, for example, make a cockpit with glass that is only transparent on the inside.
@ReinMcDeer indeed
Interesting...
@LlamaIndustries It wouldn't be the first bug to be a feature lol
custom weapons
@IceCraftGaming I’m hoping that Jundroo won’t remove this simply because of the utility provided by it
Shhhhhhhhhh
Jundroo doesn't know about this
Like.. srsly though, this would be great for stuff like see through cockpits for fighter jets like the Falken or mechs like gundams
