Hello, I have been wanting recently to continue working on my projects in Simple Planes. I tried booting it up before, but it would just do nothing. The game appears in Task Manager, but nothing happens. I let it run for a few hours, and surprisingly after that amount of time it finally loaded the game.
Nothing seemed wrong when it was finished loading, all my planes/vehicles were there. No lag, nothing odd. Only when starting up the game does it just take forever. Could it have been that I installed and uninstalled Shaders/Raytracing at a time before this was an issue causing this now?
I would like any help, cause I do not wish to wait 2 hours for the game to load just to work on my vehicles.
@WNP78 Thank you WNP78 for the tip! Yeah, I opened up the Oculus app and it loaded almost instantly then. I appreciate the help very much! Much respect.
Check if you have oculus software installed. There's a bug with it where it prevents games that have optional VR from loading (even in non-VR mode) if it's set as the active XR runtime but isn't running. Try running the oculus software and then launching the game, or setting your openxr runtime to something else
