Prop question

385 Candyshop780  8.9 years ago

Im somewhat new and had a question about the sliders on the propeller. For the length I was hoping to make a heli of some sort but the blades dont get as long as I would like. I've seen other users have props with long blades, im not sure if this is exclusive to pc or they're modded parts, same with blade count.

@dsr1aviation I'm gonna try to get through all the help posts that I missed haha!

@Candyshop780 I wrote a sort of introductory guide to XML editing in the comments of this (two parts). Feel free to ask about it

Yes unlisted then give me a link to it. It is a handy way to build collab planes without it being stolen before it is done.

@dsr1aviation Hey i have anassembly that needs to be teweeked a little bit and im not sure what one to do. Im attempting to build a "chinook" or something close to it, but the rotaters that gimbal the rotars have to much range. The whole engine and prop should have 360° gimbalin, can you help me out please? Also im not sure how to link it like what you did for the 400inch turbo fan.

There are a few ways to clip parts. Sometimes i actually move my build camera into the fusilage allowing me to see inside and place parts there. Nearly any part can be placed without rotating.. Or if it snaps to a surface but stays red just rotate the part a minimum of 1 time and it will lock into place. Props can be put inside fusilage by placing it nose first until its where you want it and still red. Go to fusilage edit and add a section and the rotate the prop in the desired ditection. 2 fusilage noses can be used to make custom sleek cockpits.

I use es file explorer to look at and edit the files in the xml for simple planes. It is a free app. There are forum posts on this site and on reddit teaching how to do it. @Skua @nickasaurus can you guys help find a tutorial? Im not very good at explaining lol unfortunately it can not be done on ios but our parts can be used by ios users

The rotars can be xml modded if you cant mod i can do it for you. Just tell me how long you want the blades ,style and width or go through my builds i have done one before you can use :)
