I bought the Juno - New origin
(name changed from Simple Rockets 2) and played with it. It got nice sounds and graphics and caught your eye in a second. But after a few minutes, I noticed the texture on the airplane surface looked like plastic Lego parts - too childish and unrealistic. Besides, the proportions are way off. The only cool thing is I saw an astronaut in the cockpit. Still, it is awkward to see the guy flying F-18 in an astronaut suit. That F-18 is so out of proportion too (which will never get more than 10 upvotes in SimplePlanes standards. I am glad for SimplePlane, with so much fun and creativity. The best is our fantastic SP community - which you will not find on Juno.
Sorry Juno, it is not really for me

@MrCOPTY In Manhattan, which is the downtown of New York City, is quite expensive. Car parking for 2 hours is $27.99, and most coffee shops will charge around $5 (still there are some roadside stalls that may be cheaper) - that is where I work every day - A good thing is: there is Intrepid Air and Space Museum, which you can spend a day looking around on the WW2 aircraft carrier and an old Submarine. You can see an SR71 Blackbird, F14, F16, and WW2 TDB all sorts of things. Also- British Airways Concord. Which is near my job
Hey bud, I made a funny vid Click here to see
@WinsWings 5$ Is Very Much For A Cup Of Coffee, I Mean The cost price for a cup of coffee don't exceed 0.5$

@WinsWings I Understand, Bay The Way 5 Cups In Algeria lol
@MrCOPTY no. Not for the money. It is just a cup of coffee in New York. But i was evaluating about that game which doesn’t fits my needs
@WinsWings Yes, It's Sad To Spend Money For Nothing (Literally Nothing), But Perhaps Your Sadness Will Be Less If You Know That This Money Went To The Developers Of A Simple Aircraft Game, Who Will Invest In Developing It Later.
@AndrewGarrison It would be great if we can group objets and scale, move in assigned groups, (like in standard 3D programs such as 3D Max, Maya, Blender) in SP. And improve in graphic user interface. Even you could sell it as a separate Mod, may be for $10? Thanks
You're not wrong. If they give us people that actually should be in an F-18 (not an astronaut) then I'm fine with it. If they brought over some things from Juno to SP, I would be partying at this point. Honestly, I think they can be improved if the bring things over from SP -> Juno/ SP <- Juno
@Mbapi I know SP does not have updates - but creativity mostly depends on the individual. So even if you have a pencil, you could do great work, so the same example goes for SP. I am still enjoying this after a year now and excelled to 100K+ points within a year
@asteroidbook345 Yes, that's right - SR2 existed way after SP
@Bellcat SR2 existed way after SP what
@Bellcat yes. May be. Once I pick up SimplePlane, it’s hook me up - I can stop, I have eXcelled to 100 K within a year - I wasn’t trying for the points but simply love to planes. But SR2 is a different story it’s not really for me
I know you don’t like it. However, SR2 is good for me because it allowed me to create more complex creations without having to type in numbers and so on (although I must admit that I have been absent from playing this game, due to the lack of MP mod in SimpleRockets2).
- There are suggestions planned for it.
- I think why the textures are like that is to make it a bit lighthearted. This is why the music is also “calm”.
- Juno’s community is 3 years later than SimplePlane’s community. This is why there are less users there than in simpleplanes.com.
@MrSilverWolf do you mean Junker's Ju
m
o Engines? The engines should be called Junos, even in SP, change my mind
They are two totally different types of games in my opinion. SimplePlanes is a more in-depth building game and flight simulator while Juno is more of just building what you have to in order to explore or meet a goal.
@jamesPLANESii Thanks for explaining, I will look into it. So far it doesn't seem my type of game
You can adjust and change the textures on parts
Same reason why i left it
