F-104C Starfighter V2.0 (2)
I finished up the landing gear on my F-104C, which definitely was not a pain to animate.
I also made the tip tanks, which I plan on adding on all loadouts that do not have the wingtip missiles, except for the clean configuration. Although, according to War Thunder at least, the wing pylons cannot carry AIM-9B's which means there won't be a loadout with missiles and the tip tanks, unless I find a source that says otherwise.
Speaking of AIM-9B's, I've been testing XML values for the AIM-9B for when I add it to the Weapons Balancing Database. As it was in real life, they're not very effective unless you fire at slow or non-maneuvering targets.
The loadout with 2x AIM-9B's is at 263 parts and the loadout with tip tanks is 253 parts. I don't expect the part count to skyrocket at this point.
@SPairforce That's one of its nicknames
It was also called Erdnagel, which is German for ground nail, particularly the kind for tents
Can't wait to see the F-104.
Also, is it just me, or does it look like a flying lawn dart.
@Spitfirelad05 sure
@ReinMcDeer Looking good! is it ok if you ping me when the release drops?
@ReinMcDeer yeah all good
It was the Charlie that got it first but it was very late in the Charlie’s service time so it didn’t do much. But it carved the path for all the export versions the starfighter had which was cool
@Kangy ooh thanks for that
I thought that it was the G onwards that had those
ok if you're building an early charlie starfighter like the one in war thunder you don't get wing pylon mounted winders but late model charlies had support for under-fuselage mounted winders
@Sparky6004 104 go zoooOoOOOOOOoOOOooom
