Is there such a thing as phantom parts cause I'm working on a plane right now and I'm working with the gauges and I can't place them a certain amount down cause there appears to be invisible part there that they placed onto instead. You might be placing it onto the hollow fuselage block of your aircraft body or canopy
Best bet is to place it on the outside, then nudge it where you need it and edit the connections manually
