I bought the SimplePlanes game from Steam! Tomorrow when I get home early from school I'm gonna download it and make my first plane! (We have exams this week, so we get out early)..
Can someone that uses XML mods tell me how to get it and install it???
@AnarchistAerospaceIndustries I'm afraid not, because the only ones I have on are the ones I've been making. It might be worth checking out /r/spmod, though
@Skua can you link me to any mods?
@Skua Ok time to install mods!!!!!
@AnarchistAerospaceIndustries at the top of File Explorer, next to File, Home, and Share
@Skua Where is the view tab?
If you're on Windows 10, go to the View tab and click the checkbox for Hidden Items
@Skua how do you make it visible?
@Happyjr this would also explain why you had trouble with the smoke trails one. LocalLow is a hidden folder, you'll need to make hidden folders visible to access it. This is because it contains quite a lot of stuff that normally you wouldn't want to edit, so make sure you don't touch anything you don't understand
im trying to install mods and when i put in C:/Users/[your_username]/AppData/LocalLow/Jundroo/SimplePlanes on PC it says theres no such file
@AnarchistAerospaceIndustries You don't install XML "mods", you just edit the XML file (or download someone's modded part, just like an airplane), Here are WalrusAircraft's xml editing notes if that's what you want.
If you mean mods that you actually install, those are mods made with Unity (not xml), and you just download the .spmod file, then open it (might need to tell your computer to open with SimplePlanes). If that somehow fails, find the same folder your AircraftDesigns folder is in (C:/Users/[your_username]/AppData/LocalLow/Jundroo/SimplePlanes on PC), make a new folder and name it "Mods", then drop the .spmod extension in there.
@Noman0rumeral ok
go to the file browser Then plane files find the xml file also works with sub Assembly files then mod it by simply tweaking what you want
@Noman0rumeral get XML mods, how to use XML
Get what the game?
