I'm bored, but I just had a thought. How about making SimplePlanes for other platforms? I don't think analog sticks mix well with plane building, but I prefer some other methods than just using a mouse to make planes. For example, a stylus. I think making planes on the Wii U Gamepad or 3DS sounds fun. Maybe you can use the stylus for building and the analog stick for the camera... I dunno. Or maybe even a motion control? Are console hardwares strong enough to load 500 parts+ without lagging? I think so, but it depends on the console itself. What do you think?
Simpleplanes in Steam Deck
@Flightsonic Yeah I agree.
@JovianPat sort of... but then you'd need a free control to select
@Flightsonic So it's just like the mobile version.
@JovianPat unless you had it so you select it on screen
@Flightsonic hmm maybe. Also Activation groups might be difficult to port to console controllers.
@JovianPat I mean you could do something like hold a key then press another button, but it seems like that would be a problem
@Flightsonic oh yeah I just realized lol. SP has quite large amount of hotkeys and stuff, so it's kinda difficult to just use PS/Xbox controllers...
Also, my low end laptop is no comparison to my consoles... Even my old PS2
It would be great If you have uploaded planes you could get it free through the website :P and get it wherever you can have a webpage... I can get it on the PS4... You can use the WII ripoff thingy to place parts
Doth thou remembar my?
But the problem is... to many controls for an XBox/Playstation controller
You can already download steam on an Xbox one and get simple planes. However I use my computer insted
@RocketLL And suddenly your plane explodes.
Achievement Unlocked : 1G - Epic Fail
That would be hilarious :)@RocketLL
@JovianPat Haha, or maybe extend your arms as wings like a bird...
@RocketLL hmm I'm using a mid range laptop and it runs fine with occasional lags on 500 parts. So console should run this just fine. About flying with kinect... maybe you can use your hands to move the stick lol
Console hardware is decent, but by no means strong as a decent gaming PC. It's about the same as a low end PC, so it should be fine.
Haha, I can imagine flying a plane with kinect...
