@PPLLAANNEE I'm not sure there's anything you can do about that, unfortunately. this has been a problem for a long time. If you want to post it you can probably upload a blank mod map with the name you want, then instead of putting that in the download link, you can put your mod map.
@32 @TheFlightGuySP the map is basically done but when making it i saved the name as "test" and now the box to rename it in the mod builder tab is grayed out and i can't name it to what i want.

It's a bit outdated, but still mostly works I created my first map using this guide.
get thee some mod tools
Import those into Unity, and now you're cookin'
You also need to add the game object “SimplePlanes map“ and put the terrain inside that object.
Edit: apparently missed the fact that you have already tried this, looks like your version of Unity is out of date though so you probably won't be able to use the current mod tools anyway.

@PPLLAANNEE The wiki is outdated. If you go check the SPBC and go to the modding section you can find a comment from one of the devs showing the latest version.
@TheFlightGuySP the wiki said to use the 2018 version ill try using the 2020 one
Other than that I'm not sure how to help. I haven't had issues thus far.
I'd recommend using Unity 2020.3.26, as it's the latest version used in SP (that I'm aware of).
