I've been wanting to start a challenge of my own for a little while now, and although I did make a couple before, they didn't really go anywhere. Now I'm hoping to start fresh, having seen now many different variations of the War Challenge genre introduced by Yourlocalhuman. I hope you'll find it interesting enough to participate.
Some of the Elements I intend to include in this challenge are, but aren't limited to:
low performance cost enemies for participants to fight.
I'm thinking of including a selection of good performance, low performance cost enemies that'll be available for fighting against. As missions are an important part of this genre of challenge, I thought the inclusion of these enemies should make conducting these missions more interesting, as when the missions are played out in-game, you'll get a better idea how successful the mission was by also fighting off opposing units.limited nuke usage
None of the challenges of this type allow nukes, despite the fact that such weapons are a fundamental element of modern militaries. Probably because they're wasn't a way of really finding a universal way of rating blast yield to theexplosionScale
of bombs. However, after discovering this bit of information, and this site, I realized that combining the two leads to the ability to actually calculate the proper yield, and as such, be able to put a proper limit on nukes(I'll explain how when I post the challenge.soldiers(as in actually made soldiers, not implied ones)
Infantry have yet to play a part in any combat challenge, so I thought I'd throw them in as well. They'll be available as both A.I. opponents and playable builds(aka you can play as a soldier)mechs
Another thing that has yet to appear in combat challenges, I really want to see mechs in this kind of challenge. However, since not everyone knows how to make a walking mech(and I know someone is going to try and slip in anything from Gundam), I'll have some limitations to level the playing field.possible continuation of the block theme
This challenge originated as a spiritual successor to Aarav's line of Block War challenges, so I'm probably going to keep the that theme, with my only original spin on it.
Again, thia is just a few of some of the things I'll include in the challenge, so I hope this interests you enough to stay tuned for when the full up challenge is revealed. If you want to be tagged when I post the challenge, or tell me what you think, let me know in the comments.
