Simple planes? Sounds like my kind of website! Let me see if I can come up with a joke.
So for those of you who don't know, SimplePlanes.com is a website where you can design and simulate your own airplanes. It's like a video game for aviation enthusiasts. And if you're anything like me, you've probably spent hours tinkering with different wing shapes and engine configurations, trying to find the perfect balance between speed, altitude, and maneuverability.
But let's be real here, folks. If I wanted to design a simple plane, I'd just glue a bunch of paper plates together and hope for the best. Who needs all these fancy simulators and flight dynamics algorithms? I mean, I'm pretty sure the Wright Brothers didn't have access to a 3D printer when they built the first airplane. They just strapped a lawnmower engine to a bicycle and hoped for the best.
That being said, I do think it's pretty impressive what people are able to create on SimplePlanes.com. I've seen some designs on there that would put NASA to shame. But personally, I prefer to keep my feet on the ground. After all, why take to the skies when you can just binge-watch airplane disaster documentaries and feel superior to all those silly skyjockeys? (I made this years ago sorry)
