Uploading new planes: how to add predecessor

2,292 Sockdragger  1.5 years ago

If I upload a plane and the next day upload an improved version, how do I do to include my old plane as the new one's predecessor or the new one as the old one's successor?
Thanks in advance

@32 thanks. I didn't even thing about just grafting the new plane onto the old.one's cockpit. I was however prepared to rebuild the new plane from scratch and record myself doing it as part of a beginners instruction video. Thanks. I'll try it out right away

@Sockdragger nope. If you ask a moderator (just say their name and it will notify them) they can change it from their end if you give them a link. Or you can just save the whole plane as a subassembly and put it on the predecessor's cockpit. If you want me to explain anything further just let me know.

@32 Amy way to do this manually? Like if I build a plane based on a plane I started from scratch and never downloaded?

    to redirect a post, here's a tutorial.
If you want to have auto credit in place, just download a plane, change it a bit and then upload. It will automatically make it a successor.
