@32 I live in the state that our state flag was a rebel flag, but it changed
@32 it's out so we'll see what happens
@Graingy pretty much both. I don't think arguing over this is worth it, and tbh we're both at least partially right.
@32 In the sense that you agree, or in the sense that you don't want to argue with a stranger on the internet?
I will take either honestly.
@Graingy I won't argue with that
Dukes of hazard? Heck ya!
For a replica? sounds fine to me, so long as it is strictly for the point of accuracy and the featuring of it is by no means presented in a positive light.
@32 And a highly problematic one at that.
That isn't a good thing, for the chosen symbol of pride to simultaneously mean something so horrible within the same country.
@32 said teaser
@32 welp I've already started on the lee
Definitely would like that. In the south where I live, A confederate flag is considered more of a symbol of southern pride. While the flag itself may have some racist connotations, in general when it is used it is not meant to provoke hate against black people. If anyone tells you otherwise, they probably haven't lived in the south or are just out of touch.
@BashiriShippers No idea how to respond to that tho 💀
It's been done before, so fine I think. example 1 example 2
@TheFlightGuySP Ooooor Just Block Those Crybabies And Remove Their Hissy Fit Comments!
@LinusTouchTips Following what Husky said, I can almost 100% guarantee you that someone is going to have a fit in the comments section if they see a Confederate flag.
It's pretty risky in my opinion. Might be best not to, but that's just me.
@HuskyDynamics01 i think it's like taking the cheese from the cheese burger
I mean I wouldn't have any problems with it, but I'm not a site moderator.
In my opinion - regardless of peoples' opinions on the flag itself - for the purpose of a General Lee replica, use of the Confederate flag would be much like using a swastika for a WWII German replica; appropriate given the context.
