What size do people want stuff?

32.1k GrFrog  1.6 years ago

So I was working on an indycar build when I thought, what size should this be. Should it be mathematical to scale (16.9ft) but then look really small in the world (looks tiny on grand Prix raceway) or should it be too big as to make it look correct in the world and scale with my previous builds.

Any thoughts would be appreciated

The physics of the game are scaled to the real world, so scale your stuff to actual size if you want it to behave realistically.

One to one is obviously for replicas
But I’ve seen rc builds are rarely posted and are kind of a missed opportunity in this game

it would be better to scale your builds to 1:1, especially cars as anyone who is actually looking to race with your build would likely use a mod map race track, which are usually scaled 1:1 (the recent Nordschleife for example). simply because the stock map doesn't offer much in terms of car-race tracks and as you've said the tracks are far too big.
