Dear people of simpleplanes,
i have come to you with important knowledge from the owner of a hand-me-down 2011 iMac running a quad core i5-2400.
Have you ever wanted to download cool and funky mods, but Apple said damn you?
Well now you can! (and you have been able to, for some time now)
First let's get the basic rules out of the way:
Steam version only!!!!
The apple store version does not support mods as it counts as a mobile version an jundroo just doesn't support mobile anymore.
If you have steam, however, this guide is for you!
STEP ONE
Go and click on Finder, then go to the top where the little tabs that say "Finder" and "Go" and other things. We just want to click on Go. Hold down the Option key or if your using a windows keyboard like me (i use a Logitech G213 keyboard) the alt or windows key. While doing so it should show a subsection in "Go" called Library. Click on library.
STEP 2
In library, go to Application Support then there is a folder called unity.Jundroo.Simpleplanes
. Click on it to open it then go to the mods
folder and drag any mods you want in there. Remember these mods can also be toggled in SimplePlanes. DON'T DOWNLOAD MODS FROM UNTRUSTWORTHY SITES!!!
STEP 3
Open or restart SimplePlanes then go to Mods then you can turn on your mods there.
Your welcome! SimpleStudent
alright.
Also, for those visiting this forum, keep in mind that OSX players can’t use the following mods: (I learnt it the hard way)
- all of Annedzrue’s mods (except Washington, B.C.),
- GIS maps from the guy with the long string of numbers, specifically those over 2.2 years ago (Wuhu Island works fine though).
- Jundroo City.
You can download them, but when you play the map, everything is pink.
Also, keep in mind that none of mikoyanster’s mods work because he most likely lost all of them.
It gets a little annoying that I can’t use this many mods, but at least MisterT and Kennneth’s mods still work on macOS.
@RepublicOfCursedPlanes pinned for being helpful!
@RepublicOfCursedPlanes no, i learnt i while ago but i talked to someone with a mac about it so i decided to post another forum in more detail without images or video
You just figured it out? /jk
Anyway, if anyone still doesn’t understand this, here’s a video tutorial.
