Recently, I am re-building a plane but with engine problems. No matter how much I increase the HorsePower, the speed does not work. Why? How to fix it?
@APlainPlaned in Xml add a variable named maxRpm. Im not sure exactly what the defaults are (around 2-2500 I believe) but it increases the speed at which the prop turns, whereas power just increases the engines ability to turn the prop. There is a limit, on the higher end it can cause some wonky things to happen with the propeller but you can pretty easily squeeze a significant amount of speed out of even a basic prop engine with it.
@APlainPlaned the problem is that the propeller pitch is locked at 30%. Turn off fixed pitch and it will be fast .
@AeroSportIndustries Thanks Brov, It finally worked.
@AeroSportIndustries Click
@AeroSportIndustries yes
@APlainPlaned did you increase power as well? High rpm requires high power to reach
@APlainPlaned HELP
@AeroSportIndustries 473000RPM But the speed is still 160 mph. I want it to 340 mph.
@APlainPlaned 5-10 mph? You can add alot of zeros before it gets buggy, and usually then the prop just explodes. What rpm did you set it too?
@AeroSportIndustries Ummm,
@AeroSportIndustries Yep, It does move 5-10 Mph when i add a few thousand RMP in Xml Editor. So I changed it to Jet engines.
@Hiimakeplanes eh I feel like it takes down the qaulity of a build. It affects the flight physics, so it wont fly like a prop anymore.

@Hiimakeplanes OK ill try Thanks
Easier
For props just add a jet engine
For jet engines you have to edit “powerMultiplier” and for propeller engines you have to edit “power”
