On the 7th May 1993, word got out that the Snowstonian President, Alexander Volkov, was plotting an attack on some of its enemy territories. The Krakabloans Military Forces, or KMF, decided to transport tons upon tons of military supplies to the South Side of the island, where they established the Avalanche Airport. It was named that after an Avalanche that meant that construction had to be halted for a while. After 2 years, the Airport, security and supplies had been transported to there.
War begins
On the 29th August 1996, The Snowstone Militia created the formidable Ice Base, which is engraved into the snowy mountainside as a rival to Avalanche Airport. All was going well, but people could tell tension was building and something was going to break out.
A description of the GDC:

The skies were set ablaze as the aircraft tore through the heavens, obliterating the Snowstonian Ice Base and igniting hope for a peaceful resolution. Amidst the whirlwind of conflict, a shocking revelation emerged, casting a shadow over the Krakabloans' efforts. The source of the faulty F-20s was unmasked – a sinister sabotage orchestrated by the Snowstonian government. Interpol's relentless pursuit of the Snowstonian president and his family spanned years, culminating in their dramatic escape to the island of Mayway.
