@peterbrown Is it giving you difficulty while you are trying to export the plane from the game to your device? Or is there an error somewhere else? I've done a bit of 3D printing from the game so I may be able to help.
In the meantime, here's the model you've been looking for.

If you want, you can buy the game (on any platform) then you will have the ability to export planes as .OBJ files. I would recommend it, it could be fun to base the stats of your models on in-game performance.

I particularly joined for their option to download. Obj files to print for physical wargame models, looks like I wasted my time

Essentially, the site's download button gives you a 6-character file that the game then reads to "build" the craft. You can export the model from within the game, but the site's download links do not generate 3d files readable by other programs. I believe this was done to stop people who don't own the game from downloading other peoples' models and using them for their own purposes without giving the developers a cent.
