After the apparent popularity of my stories of failed aircraft, I decided to dive even deeper into the archives of my saved aircraft files to find even more of my failed projects:
ALL OF MY VTOL PROJECTS:
They could be considered vtol, aside from the fact that they can't take off vertically, nor land (in one piece)... A better acronym for them would be R.L.P.W. (Really Large Paper Weight)
_
Kalinin K-7:
My computer bluescreened upon the opening of an IMAGE of this beast... Not a good omen! Abandoned due to the sheer difficulty of getting an aircraft of this design to work, even in small scale testing.
_
F-4 Phantom (Try 2):
This one looked like it got rolled over by an EVEN LARGER steamroller than the first one.
_
B-2 Spirit:
Nicknamed "Pancake of Doom" due to the fact that I couldn't get it to fly properly without flatspinning to the ground.
_
Tall ship:
Currently unopenable due to a modded block glitch that a certain Duck forgot to tell me about :P (My fault, I love mirroring things)
_
BigBoy steam locomotive:
ALL THE WHEELS = ALL THE PROBLEMS...
Steam locomotive valve gear is a nightmare to model. Abandoned and never to be revisited... EVER.
_
TVC Jet:
Nothing wrong with it... aside from the fact that it requires 3 hands to control... I may release it, as it very fun to hover in and has great post-stall maneuverability.
_
A-10 Warthog: (try 2)
This version ended up being nicknamed "Long Dong"...
Enough said.
_
Mitsubishi Shinshin:
I can't get it to be sharp yet roundish at the same time. Damn Japanese engineering...
_
Mitsubishi Model 0 Type 21 Zero
Had a "Zero" percent chance of flying! (Ha)
_
JAS Gripen (THE GRI-BLOB RETURNS!) (Try 5)
Speed improved to over 1000 mph!
Poor Turn rate now replaced with the fact that it will not turn at all. Filled with more modded blocks than a Nickasaurus build :P
_
Lessons learned:
Start with the engine you are going to use on a build, so you can use it as an approximate object to scale it to. (Gri-blob was too small for the engine I was using, so in order to boost the speed from 13 mph I used a modded engine... Which turned out to be a LIGHTSPEED ENGINE.) If anyone has seen my Gripen, please return it to the year 2016.

VTOL= Many problems
duh.
_
Thrust vectoring + Intentional Instability = experienced pilots only
Even with my experience with 4 channel aerobatic RC planes, I still had trouble with my high performance jet...
_
A-10= Flying P*nis
NOPE NOPE NOPE
_
DeezDucks' modded blocks = Problems
JK...
I have used the modded blocks without issue on many of my planes without issue, and they add a lot of detail to my builds. I just want to tease Mr. Platinum Builder :P
_
Missiles CAN and WILL destroy your own plane if there is the smallest thing in their way...

Thanks for reading!
More fail stories coming soon...
Sorry I'm a little late... Would you like for me to attempt fixing your Union Pacific Big Boy?
Lol make more of these I enjoy them
you make me smile, mate! :D
This reminds me of every plane I tried making supersonic (or super-sanik idc) and ended up bad one wat or another, almost like the plane that couldn't
Well the Griblob steering got "zero" percent better.
Myetdicrocre fails 2.zero
Great read again XD
Lol
XD
Ooh, can I see the B2? Flying wings are interesting to work on
