Since I love the late ww2 planes, I've decided to create this series.
The series will feature fictional planes inspired by existing planes, some projects that have never made it to reality, different arts and concepts and my imagination.
Standards
Planes will be built up to the next standards:
Part count less than 100;
Pitch rate has to be over 31.0deg/s;
Top speed over 600 kph;
Plane has to have efficient flaps for takeoff/landing/dogfight;
Overall flight characteristics have to be good, the plane has to be stable and convenient to use;
Each plane has to have a gyroscope which can be used as a flight assist for takeoff and landing as well as a tool to maneuver a plane on water as well (for the seaplanes);
If the plane has a cockpit, it has to be functional as well.
Engine limitations:
Power within the game limits
Auto pitch control
Max diameter - turboprop and prop 130in, air cooled engine 136in; Max blade thickness 1.8in for all
Max blade count - 4
No hidden propeller engines allowed, every engine has to be visible (at least blades)
(Jet engine standard update 07.12.2023)
No hidden propeller engines allowed, every engine has to be visible (at least blades)
The jet engines can be hidden within reasonable limits, if the plane is jet powered only it has to have inlets and outlets; same rule applies if the jet engine is used as an addition to the propeller engine(s)
Changes in power, weight and scale are allowed.
If the engine's power multiplier is over 2, the weight scale has to be at least 2, if over 3 - 3.
Hidden engines cannot be in contact with each other aka be "inside" each other.
Jet aircraft speed will be limited to 1100kph TAS at sea level (below 50m alt.).
Each plane has to have a gyroscope which can be used as a flight assist for takeoff and landing
Can be used as a tool to maneuver a plane on water as well (for the seaplanes)
.xml has to be used only for:
Flaps aka VTOL controlled aerodynamical surfaces
WEP system (if it's featured)
Jet engine modifications
Decorative parts
Landing gear down- and upscaling, however mass scale of the part has to be equal to the average scale of the part (scale (x+y+z) : 3 = mass scale)
Gun modification within reasonable extent
Fractions and planes
Series will feature two fractions: SAF and WNA.
Each fraction will have three classes of planes:
Light fighter - has to carry at least two B50 bombs/torpedos
Heavy fighter - has to carry at least 4 B50 bombs/torpedos and at least two rocket pods
Bomber - at least one separate engine pod on each wing; has to carry at least 4 guns, 6 B50 bombs/torpedos, 2 rocket pods and 1 100mm cannon
Plane list
(so far):
Early phase
SAF and WNA were unable to construct aircraft carriers during the early phase of the conflict. Due to the fact that the situation occurred in an oceanic region with limited land suitable for building proper runways, it was a significant concern. Early planes didn't have enough range for long flights, so both sides had to resort to building seaplanes that could use the ocean as runway.
The SAF had faster and more technologically advanced planes at their disposal at the start of the conflict, which made it difficult for WNA to gain air superiority. Despite this, WNA pilots were able to put up a fight by improving their tactics and strategy.
SAF J-3 Senden
A heavy amphibious fighter plane, that can destroy air, ground and seaborne targets.

SAF J-1 Shinden Mk.1
A technologically advanced turboprop light class fighter, that is capable of landing on water.

WNA F-9A Seabird
Simple, maneuverable, amphibious light class fighter, that is built for dogfighting.
WNA F-10A Swordfish
21.10.2023 note: the plane is built, but cant be posted right now due to the 3 planes per 24 hour limit.
23.10.2023 note: plane uploaded
Heavy class fighter, packing a lot of punch for any enemy it encounters. Large wings allow it to have a good maneuverability too. Turboprop engine allows it to have a pretty good top speed as well.

I've been looking for info on this topic for a while. I'm happy this one is so great. Keep up the excellent work.
