So, I noticed on my profile, that today marks my 4th anniversary on this platform, and uploading aircraft I created. It is an honor to know that I was a part of the incredible community here, one which is difficult to beat on it's friendliness in my experience. I still have a lot to learn, but I guarantee I will be here for a little while.
The ability for me, especially if I have had a shit day, to just let my mind go nuts, and create whatever ridiculous contraption I want to. As someone who often grapples with mental health issues, this privilege is invaluable to me.
Recently I finally achieved a goal of mine on this game, creating an airliner replica, that was half-decent. I must say, I was inspired by the videos done by DARZAVIATION, and I saw them, and decided to push myself. The feeling of accomplishment when I finished my Air Baltic 737-300...is difficult to describe. Since then I have pushed myself further, with more complex liveries, and getting better at detailing. Out of all my recent replicas, probably my Ansett F-28 Fellowship was by far my favourite, the livery was so challenging, yet so rewarding to finish. Also as an Australian, it felt especially rewarding. Some of my other favourite include my Avianca 707, Both of my DC-9s, my KLM DC-8, Both my 727s, and my QANTAS 737-300, a redux of my first replica, and finally my Mirage III, one of my favourite jet fighters.
I also have to give a massive thank you to people such as Walv!s, WinsWings, Inuyasha8215, DARZAVIATION and BassemT90, for providing inspiration, and becoming people I respect, through finding value in my, admittedly, still intermediate-at-best creations. I have taken part in 3 challenges, and all 3 were a blast. For Walv!s medium bomber challenge, I entered my B-54, which was definitely a stepping stone for teaching me several things. I also entered WinsWing's 96 Part Challenge, entering a Convair 580, which I was surprised to see make it to the Top 25, and most recently; I created a Simple Sukhoi Su-7 for Yourlocalhuman's 50 Part Challenge.
Overall, It has been an honor being, and meeting many great people, and I can't wait to meet more, and have more fun.
@ZacOnTrack this world is not perfect - like all of us. So even a baby step towards good may help each other.
@WinsWings I think it was very fitting, that when I saw the 4 years on my profile; I was listening to "Everybody wants to rule the world")
@DARZAVIATION
I am so glad to know that. You make my challenge something meaningful. Thank You!
@WinsWings @Inuyasha8215 @BassemT90 I just want to say thanks to you guys, you have been great company and encouragement :)
