man i wasted 22 days of my life for this aircraft to get very little upvotes plus

idk what to say, i think i wasted all of that time for this aircraft. i spent hard work coding, adding detail, adding the inerior and allat gone to waste of time.

    Graingy is right. Doing something grand gets you noticed.

    @SILVERPANZER yyeeeaaah that’s a pretty crappy response.
    Not attributing malice or anything, you do have a point, but it does come off a bit jerky to say something like that.
    Not very encouraging, and we certainly want people to try their best here.

    yeah this happens to me all the time
    No matter how much I put detail in my description or the plane itself (I'm talking about my fictional planes, not my liveries.)

    @RepublicOfCursedPlanes so you’ve gotta have a really really really fine hand?

    @Graingy upload your thumbnails onto top, left and right blueprints. After screenshotting the top blueprint, rotate the camera so that the side view is perfectly aligned. The side blueprint will then appear

    @RepublicOfCursedPlanes Heh. Only recently I figured out custom thumbnails.
    Painfully slow on my mac.
    btw you wouldn't happen to know how to get multiple custom thumbnails, would you? Cannot recall if you can have multiple blueprints along on axis...
    I've never used blueprints except for my recent custom thumbnails so idk how it really works

    @Graingy okay, you’re right.
    I’ve counted, and there are currently 123 builds posted today (in my time zone). And it’s only 12.58p.m. here.
    That makes the odds even lower: out of 250+ builds posted every single day, only 5-7 actually make it to the front page. Which is why being able to make your build stand out is so important.

    @RepublicOfCursedPlanes 20-30?
    It must be more than that, no?

    @Sense2 Ok I’ve taken a look at your plane and I’d like to say this:

    presentation is everything.

    1. Your thumbnail was taken with a backlight (the light shines on the other side of the plane). This significantly makes the photo darker, making it less appealing to look at. In addition, there is little semblance of editing or text, which are things that make the thumbnail stand out more.
    2. There is little to no description of any of the plane’s features. I’d recommend that you post pictures of the cabin interior, cockpit or any of the parts that you coded. Someone who clicks on your post shouldn’t have to download your plane to find out what the features are.
    3. It also helps to post teasers. For me at least, I tend to check the forums more often than the “Hottest Airplanes” page. Besides, forums with just 1 or 2 upvotes stay on the top of the forums page for a full 12 hours, meaning that more people get to see them.

    20-30 planes are posted every single day, and people don’t have the time or energy to click on ones that don’t look interesting to them. Hence, a good thumbnail and a good description makes any craft truly stand out amongst the crowd, and makes people want to click on your post. This may be an engineering game, but considering this website is a form of social media, presentation is everything here.

    I’ll give you an upvote and spotlight on your plane, and hopefully that helps. If you need help fulfilling the points above, I can help to make a thumbnail/description, since I do need the practice.

    Dawg why are ya playing for upvotes bro, they are just a meaningless internet point with no value, if you enjoyed building or flying the build thats all that matters, some of my most favorite builds I either haven’t uploaded or were the least downloaded builds

    Honestly if I could I'd give you some upvotes from my GT-30. That thing has more upvotes than downloads.
    Kinda shows what people thought of it...
    Just a button, not a plane.
