I'll be brief.
I've tried custom wings.
I have.
I've tried to make them look all nice and pretty and whatnot.
Thing is, whenever I try to make them it always screws up just about everything.
I turn off aircraft interactions, I turn off drag calculations, I try connecting it to wings or fuselage, I try to turn mass to zero, I try everything I can think of.
By all means, as I understand it, they should have zero effect on the physics of the aircraft).
But... Evidently not the case.
It does not fly. Totally uncontrollable, starts turning this way and that for no reason. Pitch? Nope, you're rolling now.
I make a plane with them, then try taking the fuselage off before I jump off a bridge?
It *might fly.
Maybe.
But it almost always works better.
So yeah, I just wasted another 2 hours trying to make a nice little plane for the holiday but the game told me to go F myself and now I've given up and am writing this forum post in some sort of pseudo-spiritual plea for mercy from this cruel game.
I'll try linking a few unlisted craft with broken wings.
Tell me, people of the game, how do you do it?
What am I doing so wrong?
Why does this game pull this BS?
GP-44, First attempt in calculated midway cutting to create seamless breaks in wing.
GT-30 with custom wings, was very unambitious as BS was specifically the thing I wanted to avoid when making that aircraft. It was supposed to be SIMPLE.
GS-8A, The plane I wasted my time on today specifically. I had dreamed of a bomb bay, custom control surfaces, possibly vertically vectoring engines for takeoff, custom gear (again, still don't know how), and perhaps maybe a few other fancy things
There's one other plane that comes to mind, perhaps not quite as bad but still far too slow than what I feel it should do, but the comments section is being used for something else so no link unfortunately.
Custom wings and why they make me die inside (Help pls)

@MobileBuilder21 I can make them from laptop and phone.
Another fourm
@Majakalona I don't understand.
The planes were identical during testing, one just had fuselage over the wings. That's it. The fuselage had neither mass nor drag calculation. Interactions should have also been turned off IIRC. And yet, the one without the fuselage actually flew usably.
@Graingy its like the GT-30 custom wings
try doing some weight with the plane
i could help with one
@Majakalona Maja, buddy, I normally consider you something of a friend, but...
did you read the post? It ain't just about how it looks, it's about how it functions: Not.
Also, I don't own Juno so I literally cannot look at that simpleairways thing.
just make it look good but still like the ones on simpleairways
or just go with the ones on that GS-8A, if your up for the time
@QazEEqaZ very helpful.
