Now that the holiday is over (not counting those that use the January 7th date, or our Post-Soviet comrades with New Year's), how was yours?
Please, go into as much detail as you wish. I'm willing to listen!
Me, personally, mine went well enough.
Exchanged presents (Shirts, cans of cashews, a physical copy of a crappy web novel I've been following for over a year (Whatever you do stay away from the community, they are weirdly attracted to the aliens), skinwalker Lego tanks, etc.), gave my sister the Djungelskog I bought her, she got me a second Blahaj (for the record, no, I am not transgender, it's just that when I first saw it I knew I needed it no matter what), I gave my mother a printed copy of The Christmas (sort of) Saved by Kindness (Whether she intended to or not), we had breakfast.
I then uploaded the Graingy Christmas Special, which had... disappointing results. I suppose I can only blame myself, seeing as I did a horrible job with the thumbnail for the SAN-74, and the short story is almost 5000 words (nobody is gonna read that much lmao), but still. Disappointing, considering the effort. Not to make this a sob story, but that was what I was the most excited for of all.
After that I headed with my immediate family to Christmas dinner. Barely spoke to anyone, mostly worked on a Cobi tank and talked with you joyful folk while my cousins and sister worked through an I Spy book.
Two of them are grown adults, and the other is a bloody giant anyways.
Then, the absolute highlight of my day:
Someone read my short story. I playfully pressured them into it, but they still read at least part of it.
This made me really, really happy. Actually having someone beyond my immediate family say that what I've made ain't terrible is quite nice, I must say.

@ComradeInCommune 1812?
@Graingy I wonder if the prize for defeating the US and taking washington D.C is the list of warcrimes it committed
@ComradeInCommune
*It's not a warcrime if nobody is able or willing to persecute you for it.
It's been a while since school. I can hardly remember.
Also you can't post images in comments you dingus
@Graingy "Its not a warcrime if you win"
Also the natives in canada did actually fight a war with the french against what is known as the united states (while it was being colonized? I need to read into it but correct me if im wrong).
.
I believe it was Battle of Saint-Foy(also known as Battle of Quebec), and the canadians(natives/french) somehow won
!north america situation
@Yish42 I don’t believe there was really a concept of “War crime” back then.
Besides, fighting off the Americans is a core part of Canadian identity.
Unless you are thinking of a different Battle of Quebec than the 1775 one Google gave me.
@Graingy do you know what are warcrime?
You know,it's the opposite of fair fight...
@Yish42 and who cares what’s a fair fight.
What matters is winning, honour be damned.
@Yish42 Nope.
As annoying as Quebec may be (having to put up with a, in population terms, mini France is a curse), without it Canada wouldn’t be the second biggest county by total area, and if not the second biggest then Canada truly is nothing.
@Graingy no,that on was a fair fight
But the battle of Québec was not!
Québec libre!
Had to google "battle where English defeated French at night in Canada" or something similar.
@Yish42 Battle on the Plains of Abraham?
My memory of Canadian history is... poor, to say the least.
@Graingy correct! the english!
@Yish42 Extraterrestrial!
Uhhh...
Gimme I sec I'm trying to...
hmmm...
nevermind.
Extraterrestrial!
@Graingy No...it start with an "E"...
@Yish42 Santa Claus?
@Graingy evil? so who attacked us when we were sleeping uhhhh?
@Yish42 Canadien! (The 'e' stands for EVIL!)
