The camo on the flanker is done; this time around, it's based on the appearance in War Thunder, which has the same pattern as V2, but with a mix of green and white trim rather than just white. The colors are also a bit more vibrant this time. (Granted, you can change these colors to whatever you fancy.)
The landing gear is in place and the retraction sequence is done, but there's still some details that need to be added.
The flight model is in a really good spot. The FBW keeps the aircraft stable, but you can still pull 20+ degrees of AOA at low speed. Disabling it allows you to perform the cobra maneuver relatively easily.

I've had this idea for a while, but never acted on it. Basically, these are alternative versions of my aircraft meant to be spawned in as AI or used in the dogfight mode. They have a strictly air-to-air loadout without drop tanks and their landing gear is completely removed to reduce the part count. Additionally, they have infinite gun ammo and a 10 second firing delay so they don't spam their missiles all at once.
The first batch of aircraft to receive this are the F-16C, F-15C, and the F-2A; they are linked in the Configurations section. This is also planned for my other fighters as well.

The unit thing works by prices and etc.
Lets say, a fighter plane should cost between 1wc and 5wc (wc is the currency used to price stuff). It goes to a Inspector, a staff member that judges stats year approved
Lets say, a plane should be an F-14 Tomcat. It will be priced 5wc (expensive) and for the year 1974.
And someone tried to approve an F-4 of yours. He litteraly used your thumbnail, did not even try to hide it.

I kinda gave up on the NF-104A since I can't find a way to make the rocket behave like a rocket. It's a jet engine in game, but because of that, it loses thrust with altitude.
I did just do some more browsing on the forums though; apparemtly more inlets might help so I'll try that
