What is it with this growing trend of users posting about airliner crashes both real or fictional?
I don't get it. Is it the dead people? Do they find it sick to see civilian transports folded and/or burnt after hitting the ground hard or the wrong way? Why is this becoming a trend? More importantly, How is this a trend?
I'm even seeing these on YouTube and the amount there is alot higher. Majority of which are shorts

Gonna agree partially with you there. For me, it’s the human aspect that interests me in not just aviation disasters but also maritime. Be that the small seemingly inconsequential chain of mistakes that lines up for something to happen, the lessons learned from the hubris of man, and the stories told by those who survived. In any such disaster you see such a wide range of humanity, from the heroes to the cowards.
You will find tons of them on Chinese vdo apps/websites, just check it.

@N0ble nowadays my fascination lies more in finding the causes of air crashes and seeing how the aviation industry has adopted lessons from them to change for the better
