I'm tired of the stupid, oblivious AI who act nothing like a pilot in real life. For example, I downloaded a Tu-95 and about 95 percent of the time it thinks it's a stunt plane and nose-dives into the sea. (I mostly fly at lower altitudes) It's that way with other big planes, too. They're just oblivious to the fact that they aren't very maneuverable.
Smaller aircraft make dogfights very annoying, especially if they are about as maneuverable and as fast as you. A lot of times I just end up flying around in circles because I can't out-maneuver the other plane. The AI won't let off and it just keeps flying around in circles. It can make aerial combat frustrating.
I hope the AI will be fixed eventually.
@HuskyDynamics01 or if you have a faster but less maneuverable plane, go Boom and zoom... AI doesn't shoot its guns when it gets farther than 2 Nautical Miles, so if your plane is faster you can run away and "joust" the AI
There is nothing to do unless when you put a custom gyroscope to keep the larger AI plane flies stable and straight.
This is one of an example created by myself
i was doing some vr dogfights and one of the stock ai started using insane manuevers to evade my missiles
@HuskyDynamics01 That sometimes helps, but it depends on which combinations of aircrafts are being used.
The AI tends to prefer two-circle/Lufbery/rate fights (which, given its fairly simple aggressive programming that more-or-less amounts to "keep the nose pointed at the enemy," makes sense), so if you and the AI have similar capabilities you will probably get locked into a rate fight if you allow yourself to be.
The tricky part of a rate fight against a comparable aircraft is that it is very difficult to leave or reverse your turn without opening yourself up to attack. The AI's programming accounts for this, and it can be very difficult to disengage and try for a different attack if you don't have enough energy to stay away from the enemy's nose while reversing your turn.
The best way to avoid this is to not get into a rate fight to begin with, but you can also try to turn the situation to your advantage by moving into the vertical axis, which will cost you energy but decrease your turn radius and help you get around the circle faster.
So sad. It will never be fixed as far as I know. No more updates.
No, SP will no longer receive updates
