I was browsing around until i get in a website, by the split second the website that I'm in turned into this "click-allow" pop-up
Click if image won't load
I am shocked with this fundatingquest.fun url because i have never experiencing anything like this before. I'm not fell into it, because I know it must be a malware spam. At first i thought it was just a regular pop-up ad but somehow my adblocker is unable to disable this, i am finally realized that it was not an ordinary ad, it is more like a malware that is attacking that site.
I show you another screenshoot which is more inappropriate than the previous
Click if image won't load
And then, this is makes me really wondering and maybe some of users in here can give help, critics, and suggestion.
My question about it:
- Does Firefox is recently under attack by some irresponsible raiders? Because long time ago, I've never experiencing something like this.
- If it's not really, does this always happened on some certain websites, or maybe towards the browser itself?
- Can this attack will be ended if we wait at a later date? Yeah i wish because this is really annoying yet dangerous, I am no longer enjoying my browser experience. Moreover there is some website that i also needed, but it is no longer accessible because being replaced with this tomfoolery.
Closing and my thought:
In my personal opinion that this is might be a cyber attack, coming from some irresponsibles who want to attack a browser for illegaly benefit themselves, and I am hoping this fundatingquest.fun craps will gone in the tomorrow day or later soon. It looks like Firefox is not healthy this time. So be safe and stay safe wherever you are, especially when you're online. Be careful with pop ups, never trust any "allow notification" stuffs.
Be safe, sincerely, Miss E
@LunarEclipseSP i think the sites that have them are suffering the attack.... I have 2 suggestions, Either VPN (there's a free one I use called ProtonVPN, <<not an ad>>) or try a different browser (idk if sites can determine what browser you are on, but they can determine the device you use)
Please mods don't remove this forum. I really need a help about this browser problem.
@AtlasAir747MyBeloved that is obviously a god dang cyber attack
Hacked by p-hub💀
@DatTrainGuy19 Verifpro 2.0: Electric Boogaloo Firefox Edition
Also, this looks eeriely similiar to the verifpro attacks
Didn't use firefox (infact, i used google chrome) and i've never had this issue before.
I use bing and safari only
@HuskyDynamics01 you have a point
One way to check whether it's Firefox or not would be to visit the site in a different browser.
@V Had clear the cokies, and it is still not working unfortunately. Well this seems to be impossible to solve. Let the time pass and soon this attack ends soon without our knowing
@LunarEclipseSP it's also in settings somewhere. Use the search bar to find it. As for the website, the domain may have been sold to someone else who turned it into that.
@V Let me try to clear the cookies. How can i do that?
@V well i better not to saying what site is it
@V well unfortunately though, it is still not working. The specific site is still infested and remain inaccessible
@LunarEclipseSP what is the website you are trying to get to? I don't know if you misspelled the site name, or clicked on a malicious ad.
Either way, clearing these permissions will prevent the site from doing anything. I also recommend clearing cookies, even though doing so will log you out of most websites (including this one)
@V will this method can get rid of these tomfoolery so that i can gain access with that raided site with no interruption?
Firefox cult member here,
You allowed notifications and popups from a malicious website. Go to settings -> privacy and security -> scroll to permissions -> notifications -> remove all websites and block requests to allow notifications
Then
Block popup windows -> exceptions -> delete everything on the list
.
(The frequent edits are from me being on mobile right now and the mobile version of Firefox being different from the PC version)
@HuskyDynamics01 and lucky though, no virus or malware detected on my device
@HuskyDynamics01
It simply named as AdBlock
.
And so, is this fundatingquest.fun is possibly a cyber attack?
Well, I use Firefox as well and this hasn't happened to me (so far, at least), so I'd suggest running a virus scan on your end.
Also, what adblock do you use?
@Speedhunter Because of this toomfolery as well, my browsing experience is no longer enjoyable, plus it such a sacrifice for some website that I may considered it as important
@Speedhunter some of, not every sites
Does this happen on every site you visit on firefox?
Idk, but I use Firefox sometimes, so I want to know this too.
