And that is my favorite use of gt. I will put in stuff, translate it into a couple hundred languages, and then translate it back, and then use the result as nonsense.
@Mousewithamachinegun123
Huh. Neat.
Google translate diplomacy:
"I hope we can raise our hands in peace and meet in the middle."
Becomes
"I desire to put hand in friends and reach the inside."
Total casualties:
25 million and a few orphans.
The spleen wars were rough.
@Graingy
Well, I happen to be learning Hebrew, and at this point, I have been doing it for a while, so I can speak some, and sometimes when I am reading something in it, that I can not understand entirely, I will use google translate, and type in the sentence. Every so often, I will get completely different results then what I was expecting, and then when I check it on different translations, it turns out to be wrong. Gooogle translate can be very helpful some times, but I would not trust it with important stuff.
@Mousewithamachinegun123 Oh?
Why so?
Use, I mean.
@Graingy
As someone that uses it very often, no. It is not more competent than that.
@Mousewithamachinegun123 Surely GT is more competent than that, right?
Right?
@Graingy
What a fun translation. Don’t you love google translate?
@LJh1 I am inside your bathroom?
@Graingy Yes, You're in my bathroom. I already told you
@EternalDarkness Oh, yeah, definitely. Bad descriptions, even on original work, can easily turn people away.
It's more of an "at a glance" issue. Sure, flaws may present themselves if you look closely, but if it generally passes up front it may not matter if nobody (figuratively speaking) bothers to look closer, suspecting a fraud.
Just one less reason to bother clicking, really.
@LJh1 @Graingy trouble is that you guys don't know what to look for. A build that has had effort invested into it will have effort invested into description as well. There will also be some imperfections typical of inexperienced builders. It's difficult to explain, but when you have been here for as long as I have, you can see a copy from a mile away 9/10 times.
Oh, and I also follow most of the builders whose builds usually get copied by noobs, so I tend to get a familiar feeling when I see a copy.
@LJh1 Are you one of the players that uses a translator?
I can't keep track.
Anyways, That doesn't make very much sense. Please repeat?
@EternalDarkness While they'll likely rise faster, they're still at a disadvantage.
Also, with so much uncredited theft (and uncredited minor modifications and "liveries") by low rank users, low ranks are less trusted. A fancy plane out of someone with 60 points seems to many like a probable sign that the craft was made by someone else.
