The Crown Continent's religions #1

The Phoenixian Religion

A religion founded in the territory of the Phoenixian Imperial Republic that believes in the Phoenix (sun) and it's daily reincarnation. A religion that lasted for millennia and a catalyst of the rivalry and almost constant wars between the Phoenixian Republic, and the Phoenixian Imperial Republic (do notice the difference).

Only three countries believe this religion with the following being:

The Phoenixian Republic

Flag

  • A country situated in the middle of the Crown Continent, it prospered with the help of it's superior neighbours against a rival country of religion, the Phoenixian Imperial Republic. Religious discrimination has always separated the Republic with the Empire even since the middle-ages, lasting to the present day.

  • It is the third largest country in the continent.

  • Claims to be right in the Phoenixian religion, accusing the Empire of believing in a false version of the Phoenixian Religion.

Tolpol (Republican vassal/satellite state)

Flag

  • A state in the middle of the Crown Gulf, just south the Phoenixian Republic and East of the Imperial Republic, it is a vital ally and vassal state of the Republic, providing and building ships for both military and commercial use.

  • It is the smallest (island) country in the continent.

Phoenixian Imperial Republic

Flag

  • The second largest and the strongest country in the continent. It is the oldest (by existence) country in the continent and possibly the world.

  • It has a rich history of imperialism, with former colonies around the globe and being the former largest country -erstwhile empire- in the continent. It was split in two (Republic and Empire) when the Republic revolted after hundreds of years of cruel rule.

  • A rival of the Phoenixian Republic due to religious differences, claiming that their religion is the right way. While the Republic's 'distorted' religion is blasphemy.
