yeah they had a lot of accident this year, only this year and this just started and they already got a really bad reputation
so there's the Alaska airlines flight doors that got blown away, there's the Atlas Air 747 engine fire, the LATAM flight that injured 50 people, and the most recent one is the Boeing whistleblower found dead, like what is going on with them? is this the downfall of Boeing?
I'm personally concerned to see that the company that revolutionized aviation industry going down like this, also I heard no one's is ordering the 787-10 and Boeing, is now associated with unsafe plane, Airbus is really taking over now
and the fact that this problem is only around the 737 MAX and 787 is really concerning because that is a sign that Boeing is getting worse nowadays, the last time they actually make plane is when the 767 era ngl, and they haven't even launched the 777X and already, it doesn't look good with the airline orders only like 20 or something, the 777X could be even worse than the MAX and 787
Boeing now is like the Man United of aviation, they were really good back then but they're keep getting worse and worse
@LM0418 Dj moment
@MrSilverWolf The 737-800 is one of my favorite planes, followed by the 777 and 787.
I commute on Boeing twice a week, Ive flown on Boeing a ton as a kid, never once questioned them, and I’ll still happily hop on a Boeing plane without second thoughts

Boeing moment
explode
It all began when Boeing merged with McDonnell Douglas in the 90s. Douglas (as you probably know) is the same company which made the DC-10 and the MD-11, both incredibly unsafe planes. This was mainly due to them prioritising cost and time efficiency over quality.
Although it was Boeing that took over McDonnell, a lot of MD executives ended up in top positions at Boeing. So yes, MD bought Boeing with Boeing's money.
Right now I'm sure Boeing's trying its best to fix itself, but I doubt it can make its way out of the deep trench it's dug for itself over the last 20 years.
If you ask me, this is where prioritizing quotas, DEI, and political correctness over actual skill, experience, and the ability to say no will get you. Aviation is the one field where skill and experience should be prioritized over all else, and in my opinion what we're seeing is what happens when these are placed in the back seat in favor of fitting whatever agenda is the current hot topic.
(It's really unfortunate for me actually because in a year or two I might be working there on an internship. I wish I could say I still looked forward to that like I did when I was a kid, but I can't anymore.)
@Gro so is Airbus like sabotaging Boeing now?
The CIA branch owned by Airbus is responsible for this
