The gear parts below the shock violently shake and sometimes explode or the entire gear pops off. When connecting the two fuselage pieces between the shock to test the gear without a shock, the wheel turns inward about 20 degrees. Somewhere along tweaking the gear it has slowed down when retracting, even though I didn't change the speed.
The order of parts top to bottom is:
- hinge rotator
- rotator
- fuselage
- shock
- fuselage
- wheel
Instead of using a shock and hinge rotators, look Into using linear actuators.
Here is some example landing gear I made with some interetesting properties
