[WAR NEWS] Top headline: Operations Against Skypark Temporarily Withdraw

17.6k windshifter1  8 months ago

Operations Against Skypark

Our satellite confirmation, along with comments of the SkyPark leaders have confirmed that our Liberty Class Hunter-Killer submarine that was at risk of exposing our secrets has been destroyed due to a researcher's unfortunate accident with a torpedo. Our regional fleet is being withdrawn to our borders to save unnecessary expenses, aggression, and losses. Instead they will be reassigned to border patrol, peacekeeping and offensives against Monarchii.

Monarchii Updates

Meanwhile in the battle against Monarchii, after many successful strikes against enemy targets, our fighters confirm the destruction of their main runways. The Monarchii Royal Air Force is currently operating from makeshift airstrips.

Maywar MGLA Base Updates

This also comes with bad news for us, we are sad to announce the destruction of our renewable energy farm on Maywar, forcing us to return back to the more expensive, non-renewable energy sources. This has a great cost as we now have to rebuild it, as well as supply temporary energy to only our vital factories until our wind turbine order arrives.

Continued Hurricane over Krakabloa

The hurricane is still raging over Krakabloa, giving a well deserved break to all personnel in the region. All assets have been stored in hangars to safeguard them. We have no confirmation on the impacts this has had on enemy forces in the region - we can only confirm that since the weather worsened, no enemies have been sighted.

@Graingy @Mousewithamachinegun122 Category 4 hurricane. That is why our underground network is so important.

I dare you to attach a Rocketdyne F1 to an airship and sail it into a hurricane.
    Dare you.

@TheUltimatePlaneLover Maybe a new [Classified] or a few more [Classified]. Also processing info about [Classified] and [Classified]. Also did you know about our new project called [Classified] about [Classified] and [Classified]? I didn't think so because it is [Classified]. We also have top secret [Classified] data about [Classified]. Oh I forgot to mention our amazing [Classified] is just now being produced! And WAEC is soon releasing a new [Classified] [Classified] [Classified] with [Classified] to combat [Classified] - It is also [Classified] capable and heavily [Classified]. Now see why its an underground base? I hope you understood all that its really important information and its vital that you know it inside out. Last thing, it is imperative you remember this last piece of information about the base, your life and our success depends on it: [Classified] [Classified] [Classified] [Classified] [Classified] [Classified] [Classified] [Classified] [Classified] [Classified]

    such wow, many secrets

@windshifter1 But the A-40 can go like 1800 mph without breaking a sweat
However in retrospect I think Snivel would do a lot better in the hurricane, it's too small to have too much surface area to get thrown around, but too heavy to be obstructed, and of course a very powerful engine and dart-shape. Only issue being his main mothership, Tiltwing Superfortress would likely not survive 5 seconds in even a category 2 hurricane.

@TheUltimatePlaneLover Under there? Manufacturing, data processing, intel gathering, communications and top secret stuff, obviously. It cant be an undergound base without the juicy secrets

@TheUltimatePlaneLover Its not about control, its mostly power. The storm can throw you around if your engines are not powerful enough to combat it. A starting point would be an aircraft with a top speed higher than the wind speed, but still would be impossible to fly due to other factors. (Wind speed 250km/h for cat 4 hurricane)

Also maybe Vector and Tukasha couldn't but the A-40 probably could if the pilot doesn't overcorrect, the Havoc II can survive without a tail, some wind shouldn't be enough to take him out

@windshifter1 Also, speaking of our underground network, what do you think we're doing under there? Perhaps working on Snivel?

@windshifter1 I have a few needle-shaped planes, namely Speedbreaker, Electrodynamic, Green Speedster, and to a degree Katana. To my memory, the only one that isn't uploaded is Electrodynamic, but they're far back so you can look if you wanna find them.

@TheUltimatePlaneLover That concept could be good as a reconnaissance or extremely lightly armed aircraft. Like one or two bombs/missiles max to not hinder size or speed.

@TheUltimatePlaneLover I think your best bet would be a really fast but small dart shaped aircraft. Making it so the fuselage is really aerodynamic so the wind does not affect it too much, reducing wing surface area so the wind cant throw you about, and speed to quickly manuever out and above the storm.

@TheUltimatePlaneLover I dont think so. Not even the gleipnirs can survive the cat 4 hurricane. All operations ceased and we dont even know the condition of our runways yet. Its a massively powerful storm.

Honestly I feel like Flying T-34 and the A-40B can probably survive the storm, Thrust Vectoring maybe but everything else would get completely yeeted lol

it's canon now, my expeditionary fleet is probably stuck in port/underway because of a hurricane lmao

Aerial bombardment of the MGLA bases at Krakabloa have been postponed. Even our Gleipnirs can't take the severity of the storm.
