Graingy B-88Cs flying above Yeager airport with proclaimed neutrality. Picture taken by reader from private aircraft, used with permission
On Thursday there were sightings of previously unseen-in-this-conflict aircraft, later confirmed to be Graingy B-88 naval bombers, flying above our island at an altitude of about one kilometre. This flight was reportedly unaligned with either the MGLA or Monarchii, resulting in confusion and suspicion as to their purpose here.
Graingy, who released a statement after the intrusion, claimed that there was no hostile intent carried by the mission, saying that they were only "showing off" their vehicles. These claims were made in spite of the aircraft allegedly being armed. This has lead many to figure that it was an elaborate, and dangerous, advertising scheme directed at the MGLA. By showing their products in flight, even an older piece such as the B-88, Graingy may have hoped to drum up a demand within the MGLA.

The B-88 is a 1950s-era naval attack aircraft intended to operate from aircraft carriers with small flight decks. As a result of this it has large wings for low loading (weight per area of wing surface) to allow it to become airborne even at low speeds and high loads. It has an unusual trijet arrangement with one powerful turbojet in the tail and two smaller engines under the wings, giving it plenty of power for takeoff. These engines can be shut down in any combination during flight to conserve fuel over long distances.
The aircraft saw limited service with the Canadian and British Royal Navies from the years 1951-1965. It was reportedly a respected part of a carrier's air wing. Conflicts in which the B-88 include the Korean War, in which it carried out strikes against North Korean naval craft, and the Suez Crisis, where it was used to control shipping around the Suez Canal.
In the above image the aircraft is equipped with a single large torpedo, the same armament that the overflight aircraft were believed to have been carrying.

After close to 45 minutes spent tracing a path over Krakabloa all three aircraft began a descent to land at Bandit Airport. They were not opposed, and were able to land and refuel without issue. Afterwards they took back off and left the island's airspace.
After the gifting of three T-27Bs to a random party just over a week ago the return of Graingy to the Wright Sea has many concerned that Graingy may be seeking further involvement as a supplier, a possibility many fear could lead to further escalation, even if it doesn't occur in the end. Graingy has practically unrivalled production capacity, so if a side in this war thought that Graingy may be favouring their rival it could possibly lead to rash actions against either the company's collaborators, or, even worse, the company itself.
Full Graingy involvement is not a situation we want to see come to fruition, so we give our strongest prayers for the company to choose humility over profits.
And to our readers we simply ask that you remain safe as you can be in the crossfire. We stand with you. We always will.

Oh?
I didn't know about this!
How interesting.
how very, very interesting...
B-88A here.
The B-88C, the model in the newspaper, is different in having improved individual engine controls, a standard arresting hook, and lacking the redundant landing gear in the tail.
@DatFiat126Guy19 oh I will get nothing of the sort lmao
This is pain
@Graingy it's fine graingy, you deserve a break too lol
@DatFiat126Guy19 Don't mind at all lol
I overslept by almost 5 hours today (turns out literal dozens of alarms across a clock, a watch, and a phone isn't enough? I can't even remember them) and then suffered an absolutely horrible stomach ache so I've had a fun day.
At least I got extra sleep for it... or, at least, a lot closer to 8 hours than usual.
That's why I've been late to respond.
Even now I got shit to do but I need a couple minute's break.
@Graingy i see, also, sorry for the late reply lmao, i was at another relative's house, and thus couldn't bring my phone at all.
@DatTrainAndCarGuy19 Ahhh yes.
Normally I'd deal with it, but if ShinyGemsBro is going to take a central role in a possibly central even on the site, that'd mean I'd have to be much more forceful if I wish to participate (even if only for the sake of relevancy).
Turns out I don't have a choice.
@Graingy no, i mean you saying that if someone blocks you, you're just going to ignore them/steer clear, like shiny for example, or l1nus, but i could definitely understand as to why you blocked the crusaders.
@DatTrainAndCarGuy19 Hm.
Sounds like I would've been referring to WritersCrusaders?
I blocked them when I found out they were a degenerate. I don't wanna associate with that.
@Graingy im referring to you.
@DatTrainAndCarGuy19 No no, who is "he"?
So many people go by "he" on this site. People call me that too.
Who are you referring to?
Is that supposed to be something I said?
@Graingy you, although i dont remember what comment it was exactly.
@Guywhobuildsstuff You see this?
We can use this.
@DatTrainAndCarGuy19 Who said that?
@Mousewithamachinegun122 Aight fair enough. I'll work around them,
@DatTrainAndCarGuy19
I don’t know much about the situation. I was just the messenger.
@Mousewithamachinegun122 i remember him saying on one of his other comments that he doesn't really care if he's unblocked or not, because as he stated on that comment (which i forgor what it was) basically saying that he's going to stay away from said user, and that "if people didn't want to see me (graingy) then i won't see them aswell, asking to be unblocked is just gonna cause more drama than anything" idk, i kinda forgot but, i think that's how it goes
Ok. I told shinygemsbro. He said “I blocked him cause I was tired of deleting his retarded comments, made worse by the fact you can't delete them in forum posts” NOT because of that other situation. He ended by saying “Anyway I have no guarantees whether or not he'll quit starting meme fires in my comments so he'll stay blocked.”
I tried my best. I am sorry for the whole situation. Hope this helps.
@Speedhunter Autotag?
I don't have auto tag. Idk what that even is.
I pulled those manually from @TheUltimatePlaneLover's newsletters,
@Graingy OMG It's a Fossil.... I should modify it?
(I also meant add me to the autotag list when you make articles)
@Graingy got it
@Speedhunter You're not gonna believe this-
T
Also add me to autotag pls
Hm did you hear something?
Must've been the wind.
