Episode 12: The Missing President

2 days after sinking the Basilisk, the Russian battleship fleet arrives at Gensokyo in a foggy morning. They dock at the same place as the RSNF. Everyone comes out of their ships and meet each other.

Ivan (Moscow’s captain): “Hi Victor, how’s it going?”

Victor: (Shtorm’s captain): “Everything is going fine, we also made friend with a Japanese captain recently-… wait, is that Sakura?”

Sakura: “You know me?”

Victor: “Of course, in fact, almost everyone in the navy knows about the relationship between you and Ivan, he loves you dearly and looked at your photos almost everyday. He also occasionally mentioned about you during meals.”

Sakura blushes and Ivan looks aside from embarrassment.

Victor: “By the way, my name is Victor, I’m the captain of the great Russian supercarrier Shtorm, I’m also the leader of the Russian Special Naval Force, also known as The Pirate Fleet.”

Sakura: “Good to meet you too, I’ve heard about your fleet… Oh, I almost forgot about this.”

Sakura pulls out a CD disc from her inner shirt.

Sakura: “Here, this might be helpful for you guys.”

Victor takes the CD.

Victor: “Uhm, thanks, what is this?”

Sakura: “I used to work in the Emperor system itself, before I activated the Basilisk and boarded it, I gathered some top secret informations that I got my hands on.”

Victor is baffled with those words, he has never known that Sakura is such a powerful person, capable of turning the tides of the war, moreover, she decided to join Russian and Gensokyo’s side which means that the winning side is now shifted more towards Gensokyo and Russia.

Victor: (Scratches his head) “This is… interesting… hold on.”

Victor takes out his phone and calls someone.

Victor: “Hello? Masayoshi?”

*30 minutes later…

Masayoshi arrives at the dock and gets out of his car, he then goes to meet Victor.

Masayoshi: “Hello Victor, what do you want to show me?”

Victor: “I’m not sure what we currently have, but come in and we will uncover it together.”

Masayoshi: “Okay.”

Masayoshi and Victor go to the Shtorm’s data control room, Ivan and Sakura are already there waiting for them.

Victor: “Ivan, Sakura, this is Masayoshi, the guardian and the founder of Gensokyo. Masayoshi, this is Ivan, the captain of the Moscow battleship, and this is Sakura, a former member of the Emperor Force.”

Masayoshi: “You worked in their system?”

Sakura: Y-Yes.”

Masayoshi rubs his chin while observing Sakura.

Masayoshi: “This is such a massive advantage for us…” (looks at Sakura) “We glad to have you here Sakura, alright, what do you have to show us?”

Sakura pulls out the CD and insert it into a computer. Then she opens the folder from the CD, inside the folder are a bunch of disturbing pictures, plans and documents.

After an hour of uncovering everything, Masayoshi leans back on the chair, putting his hand on his head.

Masayoshi: “Yamamoto… old friend… what have they done to you…”

Victor: “What in the world did I just see…”

Sakura: “This is why I decided to switch side, this is too much for me.”

Ivan hugs Sakura and holds her hand.

Ivan: “You’ve been through so much…”

Victor: “Switching side…”

Sakura: “Hm?”

Victor: “I need to message Eiko quick.”

Sakura: “Eiko… The captain of the sunken Shokaku carrier?”

Victor: “Yes, correct!”

*Yokosuka naval base.

*Ding

Eiko: “Hm?”

*Message: “Hello, Eiko, we have the informations that you are looking for, I need you to be on a patrol mission tomorrow.”

Eiko: “This has gotten interesting…”

*Victor’s side.

*Message: “What a coincidence, Kaga is currently having patrol missions for three days continuously. Okay, I will come.”

Victor: “Jackpot!”

Sakura: “He will come tomorrow?”

Victor: “Yeah!”

The next day, 11am.

Eiko asks Akio, the captain of the Kaga to drive it far out away from land, far enough for no one to see them.

Radarman: “Sir, one ship spotted on radar, type: Shtorm-class supercarrier.”

Akio: “It’s fine, they’re friendly.”

Eiko: “I need a helicopter.”

Akio calls for a heli on the deck, a Seahawk helicopter is available on the second deck. Eiko boards the heli and asks the pilot to fly towards the Shtorm. Half way towards the Russian supercarrier, they’re welcomed by a KA-63 that carries a folder, the folder is a copy of the folder from Sakura’s CD.

After the folder is transmitted to the Seahawk, both helicopters return to their carrier. On the way back, Eiko loads the folder into his phone. After landing, he gets out of the helicopter, the helicopter also shuts down and the pilot gets out of it. He then opens his phone and reads the documents inside, one caught his eyes because its name is “Plan for the president” so he decides to read it first. As he reads, his expression becomes more and more shocked and terrified. After he finished reading it, he nearly dropped his phone, he puts his phone into his pocket, leans against the Seahawk and put his hand on his forehead. Akio and some people including the Seahawk pilot rush to him to check if he’s okay.

Akio: “Eiko, are you okay?! What’s wrong?!”

Eiko: “I… I was right… not only that, it’s way more disturbing than I thought…”

Akio: “What? What are you talking-“

Eiko: “Here… look at this.” (hands phone to Akio)

After reading it, Akio and all the people around are also act the same as Eiko, they are shocked by the horrible plan for the president. And since he’s missing, all that in the plan are still happening.

Eiko: “Pilot… where’s the Seahawk pilot?!”

Seahawk’s pilot: “I’m here!”

Eiko: “Take me to the Shtorm.”

Akio: “What are you doing?”

Eiko: “I will go search for the president with the Russian. Akio…” (puts hand on Akio’s shoulder) “I’m sure Japan is planning for another attack again. If I can find the president, I will convince him to go to battle. If you hear him on the speaker out in this open ocean, remember, it is the real president Yamamoto speaking.”

Akio: “Yes sir.”

Eiko: “Take care.”

After preparing, the Seahawk takes off again.

Radarman: “Captain, a helicopter is approaching us!”

Victor: “Type?”

Radarman: “Aircraft type: Seahawk!”

Victor: “What? He’s coming to us?”

Spotter: “Captain Victor, this is spotter, the Seahawk is coming straight to the ship-… wait, it’s using light signal… it is requesting for a landing!”

Victor: “Signal back they are clear for landing!”

Spotter: “Roger!”

After landing, Eiko leaves the helicopter, Victor also comes on the deck to greet him.

Victor: “It must be something very serious for you to come straight here, you need anything?”

Eiko: “I… I want to search for the president with you.”

Victor widen his eyes before calmly says:

Victor: “Alright, we are also planning to have a group to do this mission too, you want to join in?”

Eiko: “Yes.”

Victor: “Okay, welcome aboard!”

Eiko then signals the helicopter to return to the Kaga and the double decker carrier then returns to Japan.
