The Carmen Dei / Carid Design No. 250 is a family of fighter aircraft. It is mainly developed in Fontaine.
The Lore
The existence of Messerschmitt Me 262 and other jets in general skies prompted Teyvat to create their own jet fighter. In mid-1945, a proposal for a turbine-powered fighter aircraft to replace the Shenhe radial-engined fighter used by force Liyue in the frontlines.
The base design: the 250A
The prototype 250A had her first flight on 1946, accepted into service in 1948 and withdrawn on 1953. A pod and boom design powered by a 11 kN engine, it was only able to reach 780 km/h at given altitudes. Moreover, the controls wasn't docile.
250B and 250C
The 250B and 250C are proposals for a trainer aircraft.
250D
The 250D appeared as a light close air support aircraft carrying up to 6 'Tiny Tim' rockets or up to 1,000 kg. of bombload. The variant never reached beyond test trials.
250E 'Clervie'
Noticing the shortcomings of the 250A, the aircraft was significantly reworked and resulted into the 250E, nicknamed Clervie. The redesigned aircraft is a departure from its precursors, powered by an engine thrice the power of the replaced, a swept wing and a tricycle undercarriage. It reached service.
250F
A back-up design if the Clervie didn't went well. Flown in 1949, it only offered slight advantages from the 250A, and still fails to reach 900 km/h at level flight. The design then was cancelled.
250G 'Crucabena'
A modernization of the Clervie with Italian armament and avionics, as well as upgraded engines. The nose design was re-worked to accomodate a radar, and the cockpit was changed. First flown in 1957, it served through the closing stages of the 1990's.
