Hey there... I haven't said anything for quite a while now, but do not worry, I haven't faded out... I'm just quite busy at the designer, because I'm here to talk about M.B.S v1.1, the changes, as well as the upcoming "Foxbat"
This will cover many topics, so I divided this to chapters and units...
Designer's Insider
The Foxbat
The MiG-25 is still in the works, but I have done a bunch of tests ensuring an easier flight model
The tests include Landing Stress Tests, Flight Runs measuring performance, Top Speed Testing, and Simulated Dogfights...
So far as these tests have made me satisfied with the performance but turn fights are not as good as the enemy aircraft usually gets behind and launches missiles easily but it can be mitigated by doing sharp manoeuvres and making the enemy overshoot but overall enough to win some duels despite lacking any guns.
On the structural side, the afterburner is still not complete and missing a guzzler but the VTOL nozzle is installed...
Expect it to come on the release of v1.1 of M.B.S.!
Changing Times
I. "Weights & Fuel"
The current aircrafts will now match (actually close enough) their real life maximum fuel load
Below are the aircraft, and their new fuel loads (in liters) and the new affected weights
• Mikoyan MiG-29
Before
Weight: 12,246kg
Fuel Load: 1,913L
After
Weight: 15,352kg
Fuel Load: 5,789L
• Sukhoi Su-27
Before
Weight: 27,135kg
Fuel Load: 2,925L
After
Weight: 34,333kg
Fuel Load: 11,878L
• Sukhoi Su-25
Before
Weight: 16,673kg
Fuel Load: 2,601L
After
Weight: 17,494kg
Fuel Load: 3,668L
• Mcdonnell Douglas F-15C
Before
Weight: 16,395kg
Fuel Load: 2,893L
After
Weight: 21,405kg
Fuel Load: 9,297L
• Grumman F-14D
Before
Weight: 21,305kg
Fuel Load: 3,605L
After
Weight: 24,901kg
Fuel Load: 9,100L
II. "Flight Run"
The F-14D will have a much easier flight control at speeds around 350kph allowing for a much easier carrier landing
the F-14D and F-15C will also now be much more viable in dogfights with its tighter turns
III. Functions of Activation
Additional functionalities will be added to several aircrafts.
Allowing you to jettison unnecessary or damaged loads. Very useful for avoiding explosions from missiles on fire or damaged bombs that cannot be a dropped manually
Additionally the Functionalities List will be now moved to the "Craft Instructions" for clearer access of controls, each aircraft have their own list depending on the armament set.
Speaking of Armament Sets, they will be expanded for more configurations for both fighters and attack aircrafts
