NATO Was confused when it first appeared, they didnt know if its a Bomber or a fighter, so they used Two syllables with diffrent ends, F is for fighter, and B is for bomber, hence (F)ull(B)ack to designate it as a Fighter-Bomber
because it barely looks like a flanker
