Im trying to build a BIG ship, like ~1000ft wingspan.
I have tried to use the least amount of parts of ~600, game can't even save the darn thing.
I downloaded another build with ~1200 parts of similar size, and it ran and saved just fine.
I was using formation lights as building details, and thought it might be a laggier part compared to others. This is just a hypothesis, and the solution to my problem is still not found. But what are some parts I can build with that causes less lag?
And no its not because of my pc, simpleplanes refuses to use more than 10% of my cpu even when the craft is complex which is very strange and frustrating.
So, what parts do you think causes too much lag?
It could be the Drag that is causing the lag,
my battleship has lesser (almost) no drag points on which it significantly improves my FPS
@0ut16w Ah.... That's a difficult situation, since high drag is the main contribution for lag, the parts will only Start lagging around 800 ish (depending on device, but on midrange phones, ~800 parts on no drag seems to be the lagging point on medium or low physics)
@Speedhunter it has 966 parts, ~1000 drag when not scaled up
but 37000 drag when scaled up
How many parts is the carrier at? And does it have an absurdly high amount of drag points?

The number of drag points, build scale, funky trees and variables also affects performance.
1) XML modded Wing Gun / Minigun (If the numbers are too large, this will lead to the game crashing).
2) Label Image (This is a label that uses spraster to have an image on it, which is why there are a lot of symbols).
3) Free spin rotators and other free parts constantly influence the physics of the game.
4-...) And then you need to look at the Performance Cost of an individual part.
OMG i did it! sort of? my build takes like a whole minute to load
kinda frustrated that my aircraft carrier can only be the size of a small business jet HELP
