Note that I don't mean "foreign" as a racist term. I just mean people who are new to the states (USA) or live in a different country. (The sad thing is, I put this here not for the foreigners, but mostly for the Karen's from the states that say it's racist to call people not from America a foreigner)
Anyway, sense that's done. Let's get to it!
Hi, I'm Rob
Born in and live in the U.S of A
And I just wanted to see what you non Americans see the States. And how much you fear a 900+ lbs America tourist treading all over your country, (heh im gunna get canceled for that one)
Sorry if I seem a little off/more offensive, I'm having some personal problems at the moment, so please forgive me if i don't post often or you know........... where was i??? OH YES! sorry
So, ummm... yeah, anyone not from the States, even those who just moved, how do you see America? Your opinion on our flag? Are food? And do you like it here? Or do you wish you never moved at all? Please let me know!
Also, you will not offend me. I want your honest opinion, as long as it's in the guide lines.
@DatFiat126Fan19 maybe 😁😁
@Rob119WithA105mmHowitzer
This?
@DatFiat126Fan19 oh uh, the one with a red background, a blue strip on the end, and a blue circle in the middle with white on the outside of the circle and three stars in the circle
@Rob119WithA105mmHowitzer yeah?
@DatFiat126Fan19 what state? As in what state do I live in?
@Rob119WithA105mmHowitzer uhhhh what state?
@Rob119WithA105mmHowitzer exactly.
@Rob119WithA105mmHowitzer I'm not indo, but from what I hear as a Filipino indonesia does not have a pretty good record of freedom of speech ( for example, saying anything supportive to independence movements in Papua even on the internet can land you 5 years in jail)
@32 @Rob119WithA105mmHowitzer @DatFiat126Fan19 also when you see mass shooting it means that at least 4 people where shot so it’s kinda makes it seem worse than it is
@Rob119WithA105mmHowitzer @32 @FOXHOUND26 intresting... thanks for letting me know that.
@32 40 overall? That's.... relatively speaking a much smaller number than I thought. It's still bad, but....

@DatFiat126Fan19 yeah media outlets usually like to use their own narrative. They like to give you a false impression based on actual events. Like how many school shootings do you think there have been? There have actually only been 40 in the US. It is very sad and tragic when one happens, but it's not nearly as common as people will make you think.
@DatFiat126Fan19 Yeah, but most foreign media, I assume, paint America as guns guns and more guns, when in reality it's pretty nice here. Also dumb question: Does your government let you say pretty much what you want? Basically, do you have freedom of speech? It's kinda dumb but I realized not all countries allow that so that's why I ask. (Note sorry if I'm probing where I shouldn't I wouldn't know)
@DatFiat126Fan19 provinces are the same though
@Rob119WithA105mmHowitzer @32 @FOXHOUND26 intresting... so... the news i kept seeing is basically wrong then lmao, also, no, indonesia doesn't have states, it has provinces lmao
@DatFiat126Fan19 @Rob119WithA105mmHowitzer @32 the worst I’ve had is the police down at the corner of my street getting people for doing drugs and I’m in a kinda suspicious part of my town that’s a suburb of nyc
@32 yes agreed
@DatFiat126Fan19 never had anyone try to break in before, had a drive-by happen very near, but as far as crime near me, there really ain't alot where I live specifically
@DatFiat126Fan19 not necessarily true although the US has the highest crime rate of any first world country, I will point out that it varies massively by state or even city. The US doesn’t have as strict of a regime as some countries, and gun control has definitely been called into question. However, you stay out of the bad parts of the cities and you will be fine.
@DatFiat126Fan19 huh, village/town, see here in America if you see "village" in any thing it's probably a suburb or somthing, now towns we have towns I live in whats considered a above small town. And have never really been to any cities or stuff like that...... so, in Indonesia, do you have like states and state flags? Or is it a capital thing
@Rob119WithA105mmHowitzer very chill actually, and plus, the only time something bad happens is when someone tried
and failed to break into my house a month ago, but even then it's only a one-off kind of thing.
@DatFiat126Fan19 huh. Well I will say only certain parts are really violent, I'm sure when I say that Chicago probably comes to mind. Just like my state there are parts that suffer from gun violence, crime, thugs, but if you just stay away from those parts you'll be fine. (Note: me reading that over again.... yeah that's probably not as normal of a life that I thought it was..... so yeah I can definitely see the "land of violence" bit...) well how is Indonesia?
Land of violence and guns, atleast, that's what some news outlets say.
