Episode 15: Preparation For The Final War

In Japan, inside Akio’s room, he and Eiko are having a discussion with each other.

Eiko: “An all out war command was given, now what should we do?”

Akio: “For now, there’s nothing we can do, the whole base has to obey the command, blindly. So far, only us, the HTFS, Ryosuke and his crew and the higher ones known about the president’s return, other than those, no one else does.”

Eiko: “… Wait… I think I know what to do.”

Akio: “What is it?”

Eiko: “Let’s just prepare for war like nothing happens, but I will ask Gensokyo’s side to ask the president to come with them on their ships and speak to the Japanese fleet. If no ship decides to change their mind, we will be the first one to abandon fleet and go to the other side.”

Akio: “That’s… literally suicide.”

Eiko: “I know, but we have Ryosuke on our side, right?”

Akio: “Yes, but, only two ships won’t do it, that plan will either go very right or very wrong, there’s no in between.”

Eiko: “Well, that’s exactly what I expect.”

Akio: “… Alright, we will stick to that plan then… but first, I have something else to do.”

7pm.

Kai: “Hello Akio, what do you call me here for?”

Akio: “I have finished preparing something specifically for you, come on my ship.”

After they’ve gotten on the Kaga, Akio takes Kai to the lower hangar of the ship.

Kai: “W-What… no way… H-How did you get it…?”

Akio: “I ask the air force to reactivate the J14W for you, since we’re ready for an all out war, might just use everything we have.”

Kai: “To be honest, I’m… not interested in fighting our enemy anymore.”

Akio: “Who said our enemies are Gensokyo and Russia?”

Kai: “Wait, what?”

Akio: “I and Eiko have a plan let me tell you on our way back.”

On the way back to the residence, Akio tells Kai about the plan that him and Eiko made, Kai agrees with the plan but he’s also afraid like Akio. When he’s back to his room, he also tells his teammates about the plan, they’re just as surprised.

The next day, Gensokyo, RF Shtorm, 8am.

Victor: “Guys, a message from Eiko: Everyone, prepare all of your ships and planes, Japan is preparing all units for an all out attack on your country, there’s a lot of ships and planes, seek supports if possible., that’s certainly not good news.”

Sokolóv: “Seek support? We can only ask our home base for more units, but from the message alone, I think we can’t match their number of units, no matter what.”

Victor: “Then we need firepower to fight them, less ships but each ship is powerful enough to fight multiple ships at once. Luckily, I know where to borrow powerful ships.”

Sokolóv: “Where?”

Victor: “China.”

Sokolóv: “What? What ship do they have?”

Victor: “They have 4 heavy missile battleships named after the 4 dragon kings: Ao Qin, Ao Guang, Ao Jun and Ao Ming; they also have the type 003 and 004 too.”

Sokolóv: “You sure borrowing those is easy?”

Victor: “I didn’t say it’s easy to borrow their most expensive ships, but for good reasons, I think they will.”

Sokolóv: “Okay, you take care of the naval force, I will take care of the air force.”

Victor: “Okay, I’m sending a message to China now.”

Both sides continue to prepare their weapons for the rest of the day. A Wrap portal opens in Gensokyo, fighter jets fly through the portal for hours. In total, about 100 Russian fighter jets join Gensokyo’s force. Many frigates, cruisers, the 2 Kiev-class battlecruiser and the Kiev-class battlecarrier comes to Gensokyo from Russia as well. In Japan, About 50 fighter squadrons ready their planes, that’s more than 200 fighters; bombers are also prepared, about 100 bombers from all the bases including the B-52J and SDB-1.

8pm, RF Shtorm.

Ting!

Victor: “Hmm?”

Message:

Chinese navy admiral: Alright, we have confirmed that Japan is ready for war, a lot of fighters and bombers can be seen from our satellites, we have sent the 4 dragon battleships and the 003 and 004 to join your fleet, expect them to come there tomorrow afternoon. By the way, we also put some experimental J-20 on the 003, they’re armed with laser that can instantly melt metals, we want to see them in real action to see what they’re capable of, but please protect those planes for us because they’re quite expensive.

Victor: (Messages back) Okay, thank you, we will make sure your J-20s are unharmed and you ships take as little damage as possible.

The next day, 4pm.

About 30 frigates, 20 destroyers, 2 battlecruiser and 1 battlecarrier comes to Gensokyo from Russia. Coincidentally, the Chinese ships also come there at the same time as the Russian ships. Everyone from Gensokyo and Russia is in awe at the sight of the 6 massive missile battleships and supercarriers, there’s also about 20 frigates and destroyers come with them too. The three fleets combine creating a big fleet, though not as big as the Japanese fleet, it packs a lot of firepower. At the SAAC airport, Reimu’s plane is armed with electromagnetic missiles that she used to battle with the Ororchi squadron, Marisa’s plane is armed with multiple air to air missiles, two multi-purpose Stargazer neutron nuclear missiles and the Solntse nuclear bomb from Russia, Sanae’s is armed with BBR advanced combat missiles, R-74 and R-77M, Youmu’s and Sakuya’s remain unchanged because they’re already powerful enough and Reisen joins the squadron. Gensokyo side is finished preparing.

7pm.

Victor: “Guys! Guys! Big problem!”

Ivanov: “What?!”

Sakura: “What’s wrong?!”

Victor: “Comes to my ship now!”

Ivan and Sakura rushes to the Shtorm.

Sakura: “Is something wrong Victor?”

Victor: “I want you to look at this!”

Victor opens the folder stolen from the Japanese ships, then he drags the mouse to the blueprint of the Orochi.

Victor: “The Basilisk blueprint earlier has a trick, I extracted it and found a more detailed one inside of the picture file itself. I was thinking about that and checked some of the files to see if something is hidden and I was right, the Orochi has a different blueprint hidden inside. Take a look.”

Victor clicks on the blueprint, a password is required to open it, he types the password in.

Victor: “Don’t ask how I know the password, I literally don’t know, I found it out so randomly.”

The file opens and both Ivan and Sakura open their eyes wide. The file is a completely different ship, it was made much later than the first one and the first one is actually a cover for it. The new blueprint has the Orochi with a length of 1230 meters, it has 3 separate hulls connecting to each other by two bridge at the middle of the ship and the entire rear is a massive platform with two runways in a v shape. There’s 6 small elevators for fighters and a big one for bombers. The main hull has up to 8 tri-cannon turrets, a single massive silo that carries up to 108 missiles, 40 hidden cruise missiles on its sides. It also has two spaces in the main hull to hide two Doomsday ICBM. Behind the control room of the ship, a strange object is hidden inside of the hull, searching for a bit, the three find out that it is a core for an energy shield dorm.

Sakura: “Oh dear God… I thought they went with the first blueprint.”

Victor: “They’re making it?!”

Sakura: “It’s already finished, I worked in their system remember?”

Victor: “You should’ve told me earlier, I don’t know how to defeat this thing, so far I find no weak points.”

Sakura looks at the blueprint closely.

Sakura: “Maybe there is, you told me earlier that the Chinese has J-20 armed with lasers right?”

Victor: “Yes.”

Sakura: “And some Gensokyo’s aircrafts have energy guns right?”

Victor: “Correct.”

Sakura: “Then that’s good, the energy field only works with solid weapons like missiles and normal bullet. That thing is completely useless against energy weapons like laser and plasma. That shield can be disabled.”

Victor: “But still, the ship itself is pretty strong, all our weapons definitely can’t destroy it.”

Sakura: “You see the two ICBM in the ship?”

Ivan: “Those things can’t be easily destroyed.”

Victor: “No, they can be destroyed easier than you think, right Sakura?”

Sakura: “That’s right, anything ranging from hypersonic cruise missile to nuke can set it off with no problem.”

Victor: “Alright, that’s good enough for the Orochi, now we need a strategy to fight the enemy fleet, help me do it.”

Japan, 9pm.

In a mysterious place, a man is walking in a dark tunnel, the eerie lights of the tunnel shine on the metal name tag on his shirt, his name is Seriwara Shogun, he’s a tall man with black short hair and brown eyes. He is the one in command of the Japanese military, the man that commanded the release of the Basilisk and the one that gave the all out war command to the Japanese military. Eventually, a metal door appears in front of him, he opens it and comes into a massive place, it’s like a dorm, the top is about 2 kilometers from where he’s standing. Inside the place is extremely dark, no light is enough to light up the place. However, a massive silhouette of something can be seen. He walks to a metal stair, the top end of it is a metal door, opens the door and he comes into a control room.

Shogun: “Is Project Orochi ready?”

Man: “All weapons are online, the Orochi is combat ready sir, the only thing missing is the Orochi squadron.”

Shogun: “It’s a pity that they’re gone, but it’s okay, we can do it ourselves… ACTIVATE PROJECT OROCHI!!!”

An ominous red glow lights up throughout from the bow to the stern of the ship, revealing the massive 1.23 kilometers long super weapon.

Orochi, the nightmare everyone is afraid of, is real.
